Rate of improvement is accelerating.
Users should notice a meaningful improvement in the usefulness of the Grok Build harness with our V9 foundation model (aka Grok 4.5) every week.
I agree with @chamath that foundational models is becoming commoditized faster than anyone expected. However, it maybe very hard to go one layer down for these model labs, but will it be hard for them to go one layer above to compete with other application layer players? I mean they have the talents for sure, when these models become commoditized, I suspect these labs can easily go after any app layer they see the chance?
@elonmusk I mean since you are the person being interviewed, canโt you share your life on X? Donโt really want to pay @TheEconomist to watch one episode that may actually be worth watch ๐คทโโ๏ธ
NEWS: Elon Musk rejects the far right label in an exchange with The Economist
"I support the normal people. What you call the far right, falsely."
He challenged the interviewer to say what is extreme about 3 positions.
"Here are the principles and tell me which of these sound terrible. That we should have secure borders, that we should have safe cities, that we should have sensible spending. Which of those three are far right fringe?"
Elon then turned on the framing itself.
"I would like to just admonish you and the media for the absurd characterization of the far right. It is false and misleading and nonsense."
He asked that the exchange survive the edit. "Please keep this part in."
Elon said the same speeches get judged by who delivered them, describing a habit of reading Obama and Clinton speeches to people and telling them Trump said it. He named Rupert Lowe as an example of who he means by normal people.

I feel like the next step is no longer โdiscover someone already built something you want to buildโ, but simply โsomeone already solved the problems you may haveโ. Then you just use that solution rather than having to learn how to use their solution to solve your problem or worse build a wrapper around their solution to solve your problem ๐๐คฃ
@jack True reuse โป๏ธ is to hurdle all the people and agents into one place and make sure that place has the right harness to get things done and collect the right metrics to continually (self) improve overtime.
Say what you will about @elonmusk. He is principled. Sure it may need a little bit of push back from retail investors and his customers. At least he listens and even comes up with a very smart way to resolve it instead of having to write off a huge loss on his HW3 promises. I havenโt tried it yet, but if the overall performance of distilled v14 running on HW3 is on par with v14 on HW4, this is a huge deal. Not only shows @elonmusk always keeps his words, but also the Tesla FSD unsupervised fleet could grow in millions over night.
