I contributed this Nature News and Views article on spectacular infrared JWST pictures of the protostellar outflow HH211! https://t.co/T2f6YLRVps @NatureNV
Astronomers’ careful comparison of JWST’s stunning Herbig-Haro 211 image with archival data has resulted in a fresh take on the chemistry of the environment that surrounds it. https://t.co/KzaBauqIv8

Our first #JWST Ice Age result is out - frigid ices and alcohols before stars are born. But I am especially stoked about the cool disk shadow in the image. This is a protostar with a disk that cast a shadow, like a lampshade on a wall!
By popular demand, we had to do the Pillars of Creation with #JWST. The nebula, M16, is located right in the plane of the Milky Way; there are just so many stars! This image was taken in exactly the same way as the cosmic cliffs, and covers an area the same size on the sky.
