I was talking to a teacher from another district and he said, “A lot of my students don’t have WiFi. There’s nothing we can do about that.” And I said, “Mine too. My district sent 20 busses as hotspots to the neighborhoods and they’re about to send 20 more.” #WhyLaJoya #LJISD

A big shout-out to my good friend Ms. Amaro! She spent the day working hard on creating instructional videos and using her district account to start up a YouTube channel for her kids to access interactive presentations. Awesome! :)

Another great day! The kids and ourselves are really getting the hang of these online learning environments. It's really great to have the chance to see them each day and restore a bit of normalcy to our lives during this crazy time. :)
