@CA_DMV @scottwallsten CA DMV -- It was not that I was "unable to pay through the DMV website," but that the fees are outrageously high. So you then refer me to a website that not only does not address that problem, but "may be subject to an additional service fee." That compounds the problem.

What is @CA_DMV doing? $60 to do an online transaction instead of mailing my check? (And the "express" was the cheapest mailing option). $49 "service fee" when it has to be cheaper for them to process than the check I will send. Plus 3.5% credit card fee. Really?
