@Airbnb confirmed the host’s reply to my 1-star review included inappropriate language. But they won’t remove it.
Why? Because they say it doesn’t explicitly violate their policy—unless my review is removed too.
Gaslighting 101. #AirbnbFail#GuestSafety#ReviewAbuse
Another guest booked an “Entire Home” on @Airbnb—got a unit with the host living below. No disclosure. No refund.
Same issue I faced: shared space, no privacy, denied refund.
It’s not a glitch—it’s a pattern. #AirbnbFail#GuestSafety#VoicesOfAirbnb
Hey @Airbnb, booked a listing clearly described as an “Entire Home” & “private space.” Turns out it’s just an upper unit with the host downstairs—not disclosed upfront. Support won’t make it right. Misleading listings aren’t okay. Fix this. #AirbnbFail#CustomerService
@AirbnbHelp After 14 days, my 1-star @Airbnb review finally posted. The host didn’t respond. The listing dropped from 5.0 to 4.82.
Transparency matters. Push back matters. Reviews matter.
Guests: document everything. Speak up. #AirbnbFail#GuestSafety
I submitted a 1-star review for this @Airbnb on May 22.
I left the property in under 2 hours due to misrepresentation.
It’s been 4 days—and the review still isn’t visible.
Airbnb says they care about “trust.” So where’s my review?
#AirbnbFail#GuestSafety
Update from @AirbnbHelp: my review will be public May 26 unless the host posts one first.
Glad it’s not being hidden—just waiting on the clock.
Still grateful I documented everything and pushed.

@CodyCalebra@Airbnb Thanks—it really is. The pattern is clear: “Entire Home” listings that aren’t, no privacy, no accountability.
I had to pursue a chargeback after Airbnb refused a refund. That’s how I got results.
@AirbnbHelp I booked an Airbnb in Italy but couldn’t access it by car due to undisclosed road construction. The host was aggressive, and I didn’t check in. I’ve spent 2+ weeks asking for a refund. Airbnb says it’s the host’s call, even though their policy says otherwise.

Update: After leaving an @Airbnb listing within 2 hours due to misrepresentation and privacy issues—and 9 days of being ignored—I filed a chargeback.
My bank has now issued a provisional credit + interest adjustment while they investigate.

Thank you @earl_greyT for amplifying this.
We left the Airbnb within 2 hours due to misrepresentation and safety issues. Airbnb refused a refund and tried to settle for $200.
Chargeback is underway. Guests deserve better. #AirbnbFail#GuestSafety
@AirbnbHelp After 8 days of trying to resolve a misrepresented listing where we left in under 2 hours, I’ve now received calls from Airbnb—with no voicemail and no resolution.
I’ve requested all communication in writing. The chargeback is underway.

@AirbnbHelp says “curtains and blinds may be used to provide privacy.”
But the host controls the curtains—not the guest.
Privacy isn’t real if it depends on whether the host feels like closing their blinds.
That’s not what I paid for. #GuestSafety#Airbnb
@AirbnbHelp the host “may use curtains and blinds to provide privacy for users.”
This was marketed as a private “Entire Home,” yet the pool and bedroom are fully visible from the host’s house.
We left in under 2 hours. It’s been 8 days. Still no refund.

Thanks @AirbnbHelp for escalating. I’ve now received another scripted denial from in-app support, which still ignores the safety and misrepresentation issue. I’ll continue working toward resolution through the proper channels. It’s been 8 days
@AirbnbHelp This listing claimed “Entire Home w/ private amenities.” In reality, the hosts had full view of the pool & bedroom—no privacy. We left in under 2 hrs. Airbnb refuses refund.
