Naval Ravikant: “Waste Tokens, Save Time."
"Don’t look at tokens either as inputs or outputs. Just look at your time, and look at the final output."
While most people obsess over prompt engineering, Naval says the models will improve faster than humans learn to use them. So instead of optimizing prompts, he brute forces problems with Codex, Claude, and Gemini simultaneously. Burns tokens. Saves time.
And over time, he noticed something surprising: “I found myself typing less and less information and doing less and less work.”
People who aggressively delegate to AI will move faster than people trying to perfectly control every output.
In the AI era: Good enough now > perfect later.

Nikita Bier: optimize for the 'aha' moment.
"If you can't demonstrate value in the first 3 seconds, it's over."
Modern users have very short attention spans. If your onboarding requires too many steps or asks for personal data (like an email) before showing the product's value, user retention plummets.
"How do we expose them to an aha moment as fast as possible, in a memorable and iconic way?"
Nikita's example: Dupe originally had a shopping app with a bunch of features including one called Deal Hop which let users put in a product page and it’d help find the cheapest alternative online. They tried getting a very short domain (”dupe”) then created the ability for users to paste any existing URL on top of Dupe's URL and it’d immediately find cheaper alternatives.
Result: millions in ARR in under 60 days of launching. It was a blowout success.
Attention is a miracle. Don’t waste it. Consider every tap by a user on a mobile device. Cut features, improve speed, and be creative in using APIs and tools.

Startup Community is one of X's largest. 185K+ of you are building here. But X is shutting it down May 30.
Startups will be even more invisible...
We're building something new. Follow @StartupASAP to know what launches next.
(share this if you ever felt invisible too!)
X is full of builders, developers, designers, marketers, entrepreneurs, VC investors and more who can help.
Please like, share, comment, or tag!
This will make a big difference :)

Dear X, need your help.
I started this community in 2021. Growth was slow but grew to 185,000+ people. Tons of hard work. Zero playbook. Supporting each other daily!
X is now axing communities in 30 days. I'm scrambling to save it but no luck yet...
Any ideas? Please share👇
Dear Startup Community,
X is killing communities.
Four years of building...gone in two weeks.
Appreciate the 185,000+ members who joined and wanted to be part of something bigger than themselves.

Adam Soccolich (@TheBestOfAdam), who consults for MyFirstMillion and Lenny's Newsletter shares the two primary lessons for founders to build engagement and authentic relationships with their customers:
"You've got to get your voice out there as the founder, whether you're a solo founder or the founder of a thousand person enterprise company."
"For an hour of your time to be on a podcast, you get a lot more content....you have to be able to share what you're building and do it organically".
"Building that engagement will really create an authentic vibe and actually a better relationship with your potential or current customers."
Community = connection + support
X Startup Community grew my business, alongside 175,000+ members
I get why X evaluates features. But platforms don’t lose users by removing features, they lose users by removing belonging.
Does community matter to you?❤️https://t.co/18J8YhVdlJ
@AlexHormozi@amasad@Replit Creating this conversation was one of my great accomplishments in 2025. It's now skyrocketing over 11 million views so far...the lessons are worth watching :)
