@0x45o TRUEE, they shud feeel the rage nowwwww..switched models plenty of times inside of kilo depending on the task, so i dont think there's gonna be one clear winner anytime soon
@maxedapps token efficiency n tool use stood out more thn anything for me.,,if the api pricing ends up making sense, i can deff see myself adding it into some of my kilo workflows instead of relying on one model for everything
@TheGeorgePu if researchers feel like they can get ideas into userss hands in weeks instead of months, thats a huge draw. as a user i tbvvh care more abt tht too cz faster iteration usually means bttr models n tooling showing up sooner in codex and kilo
really interesting cz they're optimizing for completely diff things. feels like openai is pushing hard on product n workflow while anthropic keeps doubling down on the coding exp... as someone who's mostly using codex n kilo every day, i'm honestly benefiting more from the competition
@AlexFinn excited abt wht all this means for tooling thn any single model tbh.,,if even half of these live up to the hype, the biggest win is being able to pick the right model for each task inside of kilo instead of forcing one model to do everything
i domt really wanna think abt which mode am supposed to use...idd rather hv one interface tht figures it out from context n swaps bw quick chat, deep research, coding, or agents automatically...feels like less friction specially when im already jumping between codex and kilo throughout the day
@TheGeorgePu smwht true bt i think ppl underestimate how much distribution n tooling matter too... lot of these chinese open models r what i use inside of kilo for cheaper task cz the price n performance is just hard to ignore
