BREAKING: Iran has delivered its highly anticipated "10-point" response to the US' "15-point peace plan."
Iran's 10-point plan includes:
1. Guarantee that Iran will not be attacked again
2. Permanent end to the war, not just a ceasefire
3. End to Israeli strikes in Lebanon
4. Lifting of all US sanctions on Iran
5. End to all regional fighting against Iranian allies
6. In return, Iran would open the Strait of Hormuz
7. Iran would impose a Hormuz fee of $2 million per ship
8. Iran would split these fees with Oman
9. Iran to provide rules for safe passage through Hormuz
10. Iran to use Hormuz fees for reconstruction instead of reparations
President Trump's "deadline" for a peace deal with Iran is 25 hours away.
@Allergy2Stupid@TFTC21 I understand this and if you want my honest opinion i think a nuclear armed Iran would be good for the region acting as a counterbalance to Israel. I think it was a strategic mistake to stay at breakout level without just going for the bomb which they could have rather easily
@Allergy2Stupid@TFTC21 Also diplomacy didn't work because we committed perfidy twice. Attacking during negotiations where we know due to the reporting of the Omani mediator during said negations the Iranians were acting in good faith in.
@Allergy2Stupid@TFTC21 That's just not true no Iranian official has ever said that. And what I'm describing to you is both the assessment of our intelligence community, and the official policy of the Iranian regime. There has been zero evidence of them going for a bomb post 2003.
@Allergy2Stupid@TFTC21 Yes i know that's the point of the threat. They are putting themselves on the doorstep. There is no evidence to suggest they plant to go past this. It is a policy to get strategic leverage for diplomacy.
@Allergy2Stupid@TFTC21 Leverage. They did it for leverage in a potential future negotiation. You need 90% for weapons grade enrichment there was never any evidence they intended to go past 60% the closer they are to that 90% number the more leverage they had in a potential JCPOA style negotiation.
@Kaspiy@sYRpnB@notthreadguy If trump escalates in the way he is saying. (Attacking energy infrastructure) The gulf will likely collapse taking this one month supply shock and making it multi year possibly decade. We don't know what will happen we have never seen something on this scale before.
@Kaspiy@sYRpnB@notthreadguy We are in an unprecedented supply shock. The war can not continue much longer without global economic catastrophe. We are past the point of no return the damage already done cant be reversed and every day this continues only grows what's coming. That's why people are panicking.
@wodie1776@notthreadguy This is far worse rather objectively. The closure of the straight of Hormoz is quite literally an unprecedented supply shock. In all of modern history we have seen nothing to its scale.
@wisdoverse@FuentesUpdates I want you to stare at this map and then compare that to Iraq or Afghanistan. 3 times the population a modern domestic arms production industry hidden in those mountains and assistance from two nuclear powers.
@wisdoverse@FuentesUpdates It will be far more costly. Again Its a fortress geographically of a nation with a massive domestic drone production industry along with assistance from Russia and the global manufacturing hub china. If some farmers who picked up an AK can make it costly Iran can make it deadly.
@wisdoverse@FuentesUpdates Incredible cope. Boots on the ground will be the beginning of the end of US empire trump has landed himself in an escalation trap that will make history. If random Iraqi citizens could make it costly an invasion of Iran will be Vietnam on steroids.
@wisdoverse@FuentesUpdates I fully understand how vital free navigation of this straight is to our empire. Hence my opinion that Iran currently has the cards. Striking at the heart of capital rather than purely military objectives is their greatest strength.
