𝐓𝐄𝐀𝐌 𝐍𝐄𝐖𝐒 | Fingers crossed the weather holds this weekend as our 1s and 2s have a double-header against @HoghtonCC, whilst the Womens look to continue their impressive streak against @Burscough_CC. The Sunday team are away at @ChorleyCC.
@LancsCCMG What I'm saying is that clubs and leagues are the lifeblood of cricket, they're the ones delivering ECB projects, coaching the next generations, and they're the ones who have been left out of the whole process
@LancsCCMG Don't get me wrong the counil have been complicit, but Lancs have been the ones trolling out the lines! I have no problem with the use thats going to be appplied - Allstars/Dynamos/Schools, but to not even have any consultation with leagues/clubs was downright disgusting
@LancsCCMG Or let me ask a question, Do you or your members think its appropriate that community use was used as a reason to get funding, yet nobody in local grassroots cricket has been in any discussion about any aspect of the ground?
@LancsCCMG 🤣🤣 Touche. I'd be more concerned about Lancs using community use to acquire a £9m subsidy on a ground that'll see next to no community use of note. Like I say, pick your relevant battles
@LancsCCMG I think they expect you to be picking up on more pressing matters to be fair. Of which looking at recent goings on, you have plenty to keep an eye on.
@LancsCCMG Where I might add, they are suggesting that a 20 min walk from the centre of Leyland is totally adequate, and guess how much you'll be paying for the amount of time you'll need to park there?!
@LancsCCMG I remember not so long ago, car parks around OT charging £20! So lets not talk about 1 car park. Its pathetic to pick up on in the first place. Concentrate on sorting your own club who don't even consult with local grassroots cricket about their new ground
@LancsCCMG Now you're being daft...it's nearly an hours walk to the city centre. Thats about as clearer a comparison as saying Lancs Chairperson is doing a good job!
@LancsCCMG Of course people will. But then you're not going to advertise that and potentially piss people off who live near those free spaces! They've advertised a viable relatively low cost option. They're not telling people its the only option are they!?
