In an engagement with imperial ships, the venators would be singled out and destroyed faster than anything else in the fleet as that's what ISDs were designed to target

@watcher02671700 @AndrewZ24597481 Venators aren't fast ships and their hull/shields are incredibly outdated. Any Imperial fleet would dogwalk them. There's a reason the Rebellion didn't use a lot of capital ships because of that. Not to mention rebel ships didn't need carriers they all had hyperdrives
