Nihang Sikhs visited the abode of Mata Vaishno Devi in Katra, where they were gifted a bag of dry fruits by Hindu Shopkeeper. There was a time when many Sikh pilgrims visited Hindu temples, but this has decreased over time.

Sikhs were once devout Devi upasaks and used to undertake the Char Dham Yatra as well. I hope to see more Sikhs reconnect with their Sanatan roots.

NC Politician, Javed Rana is attempting to teach history, but unknowingly he has supported our point that the original name is Panchaldev, not Pir Panjal.

The Rajatarangini refers to Panchaldev as “Panjal,” but there is no mention of the word “Pir,” which is a Persian term.
