I had an experience like this a few weeks ago trying to login to Facebook messenger app on my phone. It kept wanting 2FA from my laptop (didn’t have with me) and the other methods were all broken(!!!). Shocking incompetence. If AI didn’t cause it, then can it please fix it!

Is anybody else using claude or codex intensively for non-coding work like excel?

IME the work is like AI coding: just review of workbooks and parsing lots of written text. It's a very different way of working. It reminds me of reviewing appraisals.

I’m surprised to hear that some companies specializing in autonomous workflow AI agents are having difficulty implementing things like basic math and web research. Is it that they go off the rails too fast when not piloted a la Claude Code?

claude code and cursor agent are now good enough that I can use them as the default method of writing code. I would not have said this even a month ago.
