There is something I have never spoken about openly.

Some of you call me Guru Maa.

I never chose this name for myself. I never asked anyone to address me this way. In fact, for a long time, I quietly wondered why this word came so naturally from the hearts of certain people.

Over time, I began to understand that perhaps some relationships cannot be explained by the relationship we see in this lifetime alone.

Our scriptures speak about ऋणानुबंध - Rinanubandha, the subtle bonds carried by the soul. We meet countless people, yet only a few touch something within us that feels strangely familiar. Sometimes there is trust before there is enough reason to trust. Sometimes a few words reach a place inside us where hundreds of other words could not.

Perhaps the mind is meeting someone for the first time, but the Samskara is not.

And this is where the word Maa becomes very heavy for me.

A mother does not only comfort her child. She warns. She corrects. She refuses when necessary. She may even appear harsh when she can see a danger the child cannot yet see.

Many of you have experienced this side of me.

Sometimes you come expecting the answer you want, and I give you the answer I feel you need. Sometimes I tell you to wait. Sometimes I refuse a remedy. Sometimes I repeatedly warn you about a period even when you would rather hear something pleasant.

Perhaps that is why some of you call me Maa.

Not because I am above you.

But because somewhere within you, you feel that I will not knowingly allow you to walk towards darkness without at least trying to light a lamp in your path.

And when you add the word Guru before Maa, the responsibility becomes even greater.

It is something I have to answer for before the Divine.

There is also a secret about the Guru- Shishya relationship that very few understand.

A Guru is not always the person who enters your life to make it comfortable. Sometimes the Guru enters precisely when your soul is ready to confront something it has been avoiding for lifetimes.

That is why certain words disturb you before they heal you. Certain guidance makes sense only years later. And sometimes you feel inexplicably drawn towards a person, a mantra or a spiritual path- as though you are not beginning something new, but remembering something unfinished.

But sometimes when I read your messages- especially when someone who has never met me writes “Guru Maa” with such सहजता- I quietly wonder:

Did you really choose this word today…
or did something within your soul remember it?

Maybe every meeting is not a beginning.

Some meetings are continuations.
Some relationships are unfinished prayers.

And some souls do not meet for the first time- they recognise each other again.

Only the Divine knows which is which. 🙏

Sometimes I wonder whether you truly understand why I keep speaking about remedies, prayers, Sadhana and the difficult planetary periods ahead.

It is not because I believe life can be made completely free of suffering.

It cannot.

Over the years, spirituality has taught me something much deeper- we cannot always change what is destined to arrive, but we can change the strength with which we receive it.

A prayer may not remove every storm.
Sometimes it gives you the courage to walk through it.

A mantra may not immediately change your circumstances.
Sometimes it changes you - and that changes everything.

Please never measure Ishwar's grace only by whether your problems disappeared.

Sometimes grace comes as protection.
Sometimes as delay.
Sometimes as a closed door.
Sometimes as the strength to survive something you once thought would break you.

This is what I sincerely wish for each one of you- not a life without difficulties, but a life in which no difficulty becomes greater than your faith.

Stay connected to the Divine.

One day you may understand how many unseen battles your prayers had already fought for you. 🙏
