I have projects like that too. Ones that I personally love regardless of their success, notoriety, time, etc.
That said, I leaned hard on external validation early on. I used to have this thing where I'd know the work was good if I was confident enough to share it with people I looked up to (it wasn't always good). I would sometimes think of you for this exercise!

@benjitaylor Idea: If text is selected and the clipboard contains a valid URL, paste should automatically apply the link to the selection. Slack does this and it's about the only thing I love about it.
