@Flipdark95@Djzapper128@SteveChillGame I'm not going to keep blowing up your notifs because this really isn't a make or break for me.
If you are excited, I'm happy for you. But as someone who holds CE near and dear to my heart, I don't feel like the proper love and care is being put into the game. Just how it is.
@Flipdark95@Djzapper128@SteveChillGame It's not just "some code". Anyone who has played it can tell you it is a modified Reach at every level from AI to physics, just coated with a UE skin. This is literally all observable with the naked eye, it's really not up for debate.

@Flipdark95@Djzapper128@SteveChillGame It literally does? It's not a secret at all that this game is running on the Blam engine from Reach using all of it's AI save for the Flood (H3's). Some weapons and most enemies are ripped straight from Infinite, not to mention the players animations being Halo 5, but okay.π
@Flipdark95@Djzapper128@SteveChillGame Of course, if this is good value for you, it's your money. But the game uses old assets, animations, engine, etc.
This is supposed to be a celebration of Halo. Yet everything about it screams minimum viable product, existing solely as a project of convenience and nothing more.
@Flipdark95@Djzapper128@SteveChillGame Why are standards so low nowadays? You're paying $50 for the game, it should be content rich, not a messy testbed.
You should be able to expect a quality game with care put into it, regardless of why they are making it. For a 'celebratory' remake, it just feels soulless.
@gier_tuner Oh my gosh!!! You are stunning! I love this suit and cosplay so much! Can you please DM me for the seller or information about how to get the suit and such?
@Omegax_27@FavynTube Genuine question for you:
Old school DOOM had a run button, yet when they released 2016 and Eternal, there was no run button. Would you say that nu-DOOM stagnated because of that removal?
@Lunnzies Halo 1-3 had very different styles for most things, but that is a good thing. Each has their own unique identity because of it.
Robbing that for consistency misses the point. Look at recent community kitbashes w/ the Infinite model, it isn't difficult to keep some stylization.
@Jordan456257099 Toxic positivity causes far more damage than toxic negativity.
343 has done some pretty awesome stuff during their tenure, but it is VASTLY outweighed by the bad.
Halo deserves far better as a franchise, especially as Xbox's flagship IP.
@HaloFanForLife@Nades "We should wait for the Sonic movie to come out first, and judge the awful design only after it's released! There is no way we can tell that it's bad just from one trailer!"
@HaloNoSprint@Phillies_Dad@Halo_HypeGuy You're either being purposefully ignorant or genuinely have no idea about what you're talking about.
Regardless, as a gimmick account about classic Halo you have an astounding lack of understanding about the franchise or its history. Best brush up, lest you look like a tourist.
@HaloNoSprint@Phillies_Dad@Halo_HypeGuy I'd look into the game's history before you claim others are nuts.
None of this is hidden information and it was one of the things Reach was panned for online when it first came out. 343 has done a lot of work to try and smooth it over, but the game retconned and changed a lot.
@HaloNoSprint@Phillies_Dad@Halo_HypeGuy "... story was consistent and in line with all the other halos..."
Nah, we don't need more revisionist history in the Halo community.
Halo Reach changed lore like crazy because those responsible didn't like having to stick to what was previously established as canon.
@Sargento343 Halo 4 gets so much hate as is and you're here just fanning those flames by comparing apples to oranges.
These are not the same things and I hope you can understand that. Being actively anti-Halo 3 doesn't stop people disliking Halo 4, it just makes you look childish.
@ShittyHaloTakes The industry is crumbling due to a litany of issues. Live service fatigue, games being rushed out, absurd quotas, companies refusing to allow innovation, etc. But it's all the female devs, or a one-off trans side mission, or non-gendered naming for character creators. Idiots.
@amedfabre@justahaloguy I imagine most people put more pressure on Locke because he was the main protagonist.
Honestly, Halo 5 was so rife with terrible decisions and bad writing that Locke/Osiris were only a small part of the problem. Brian Reed and the others just did an awful job with the game.
@ShittyHaloTakes@frogarchist@TheQrayon That's just outright false.
Halo Infinite is terrible for TONS of reasons, but it was very clearly changed in response to feedback. Art style, gameplay, story, etc. They basically soft rebooted the series because of it.
They still fucked it up, but that's exactly the problem.
