@TheRealMerb Kyle, thanks for sharing. I’ve always been a high mileage marathon runner. Had a 3-month layoff in the last part of 2024 due to stress fracture. Told myself that I’m not going to get back to doing 100mile weeks leading into Boston. So by sharing this gets me excited.
Sleep is crucial and a key element of recovery, especially during marathon training. Unfortunately, I haven’t been getting much of it lately because I can’t put @karagoucher The Longest Race down at night. 😆 Next I’ll be blaming @des_linden when I start reading Choosing To Run.
@MountainRoche I find my Garmin 945 to be fairly accurate. But the funny thing is that it works best on my right wrist vs the left. Wearing it on my right wrist gives me a 10-20 bpm higher. Lol
Running Boston in less than 10 weeks, then Chicago Marathon/AWMM Age Group World Championship in October, and now I signed up for NYC Marathon (pending) yesterday. 🤦🏽 😆 #bostonmarathon#chicagomarathon@WMMajors#nycmarathon
@JasonFitz1 Hit my first 100+ mile week last week. Will probably stay in the 90-105 mile/wk range. 2-3 quality sessions that includes a long run, tempo/threshold run, and short pickups. Bottom line, sticking to what has worked for me in my previous Bostons.
Decided to subscribe to @espn to watch the #NCAAXC. Only problem is that I forgot to switch from annual to monthly subscription before I clicked subscribe. 🤷🏽♂️
