The abduction and disappearance of the Mlolongo businessman is deeply disturbing.

The CCTV footage has now helped unravel the mystery and raises very serious questions about what happened to him.

This is no longer something Kenyans can simply ignore.

The CCTV does not lie.

The footage shows what happened, his abduction was a police operation.

Who took him?

Where was he taken?

Who was involved?

And most importantly, who gave the orders?

The disappearance of citizens cannot become normal in Kenya.

Families are being left terrified, searching for their loved ones, while those responsible are free walking freely.

The Mlolongo case has exposed a frightening reality that Kenyans have been warning about: that there could be an organised abduction operation involving rogue elements within the security system.

If that is not true, prove it.

Tomorrow it could be any one of us.

Charity Ngilu sent away two MCAs affiliated to kasongo when they tried to contribute 2k in a fundraiser in Kitui.

The killing of psychologist Dr Victoria Mutiso is not shocking in the sense that family and property disputes have been killing people across Kenya for years especially in Kisii.

What should trouble us is how normal this has become. Families that once ate together, buried relatives together and shared the same home are now turning against each other over land, houses, inheritance and money.

People are hiring killers, forging documents, threatening siblings and eliminating relatives because they believe death is the easiest way to settle a property dispute. A title deed has become more valuable than blood, and greed has destroyed many families long before the first bullet is fired.

Dr Mutiso’s case should remind Kenyans that some of the greatest dangers people face do not always come from strangers. Sometimes they come from relatives who know your movements, your property and exactly what they expect to gain when you are gone.

Property can be divided, sold or contested in court. A life cannot be returned after relatives choose greed and kill

Today, as Sharon's family sat in court to hear the verdict, we were reminded of the immense cost of justice delayed.

While we commend the prosecution, justice must not take nearly a decade. Across Kenya, from young girls to grandmothers, women continue to be lost to a horrific wave of femicide.

The promise that university will now be free for all sounds like progress but when it comes months to an election, after years of complaints about a broken funding model, Kenyans are entitled to ask, is this policy or politics?

For years, universities have been running on deficits, students have been locked out or saddled with loans, and the new student‑centred funding model has left families choosing courses they can afford rather than those they qualify for. Half of public universities are already potentially insolvent, and HELB can fund barely a fifth of first‑years under current allocations.

If the State could not sustainably fund the existing model, how does it suddenly find resources to fully fund every KUCCPS‑placed student without a clear legal framework, costed plan and honest conversation about trade‑offs in health, housing and other services? A constitutional government must not dangle free rights as campaign bait while hiding the fiscal maths from the very citizens expected to pay the bill.

I stand with students, parents, lecturers and workers who want real reform, not last‑minute promises. We demand transparent costings tabled in Parliament, a credible financing law, and guarantees that any move towards universal higher‑education funding will not collapse already struggling institutions or deepen inequality between those in public and private universities.

Free, quality university education is a legitimate aspiration but it must be built openly, sustainably and with citizens at the centre, not announced from a rally podium as a political surprise. Kenyans deserve more than applause lines, they deserve a plan.

Hello guys. I need your help please. Help. I’m doing this despite the risks involved 🙏. I’m sure you’ve seen the story Citizen tv aired recently about a brother who beat up his sister mercilessly trying to “discipline” her. Before she was beaten up, he had sent cops to “arrest” her in Busia because she was in Uganda and they didn’t want her traveling.

The cops got her and she spent 24hrs in a cell before being transferred to Nairobi where she spent another 4 days in Pangani police station with no charges or being taken to court. The brother bribed the police officers to arrest her and put her in a cell to “discipline” her.

They took her home and the brother beat her up mercilessly with blows and kicks and stepped on her as she begged that she was on her period. He also slapped his other sister who tried to intervene.

The brother in law by the name Sharmake Hussein is the one pulling the strings and is highly connected to the DCI. The DCI headquarters has the victim’s phone and she went to pick it up yesterday but they refused and tried to make her withdraw the charges. Officers at the headquarters by the name Amin and Mahad as narrated by the victim tried to trick her to sign and withdraw the case. She refused and in return got threatened by the family who were present in the presence of the @DCI_Kenya

The perpetrator was at @DCI_Kenya headquarters yesterday and they didn’t arrest him!!!! I’m honestly shocked that they were forcing the victim to withdraw the case instead of arresting the perpetrator. I took the girl to somewhere safe today a big big thank you to @VOCALAfrica_ since the brother wants to harm her and @DCI_Kenya is enabling it.

All the other younger siblings are not safe either and even the youngest was manhandled at the headquarters yesterday and they took his phone. Both phones are at the @DCI_Kenya and I’m asking with what authority did you take their phones and manhandled them? The youngest is a minor and I still don’t think these kids are safe. I talked to them today and the parents are the biggest enablers. If anything happens to any one of them @DCI_Kenya is responsible for being bribed and used by the perpetrators who’s going around claiming he knows “big people” including Duale. I have clips which I’ll be posting of him being nasty and arrogant of the law.
