Ruto just spent 40 minutes trying to create a false equivalence between our national values set out in the constitution and his so called “development”. Kenyans, please trust me when i tell you there is a reason the Preamble comes before Article 43. You don’t get to the “development “ clauses until and unless you have taken into account the reasons we passed this constitution in the first place. Democracy, Human Rights, Freedom, Equality, Rule of Law and Social Justice.

The Ruto regime had a choice of taking austerity measures, cutting waste and corruption, reducing levies and other measures to cushion Kenyans from the historical 24.5 % increase in fuel prices.

Instead, it chose to allocate 8 million a day for the Deputy President’s helicopter services and 17.2 million a day on tea and mandazi for State House, while ordinary Kenyans suffer.

In another sign of misplaced priorities, the Deputy President spends 8 Million Shillings in a day on helicopter services while Kenyans are dying because our hospitals lack equipment and medicine.

I stopped by at the Kericho referral hospital in solidarity with the doctors and nurses who work in extremely difficult conditions to save lives.

Let’s register to vote, end SHA and send this thieving regime to Kamiti.
