The video of Charlie Lindgren scoring into his own net has probably popped up on your feed 100 times, and counting.
What won’t be on your feed is the fact that he made some big saves down the stretch to actually win that game.
These guys are such pros. Their ability to shake something like that off is awesome.
Is there a company out there that allows
patients to securely share medical records from one doctor to another? Filling out new paperwork even digitally each time you go to a new doctor seems unnecessary. Any insight is appreciated.
Narrative Violation:
A select Southern corridor is pumping more into national GDP than New York, Boston, Washington and the rest of the Northeast.
- Florida
- Texas
- Georgia
- Carolinas
- Tennessee
Times are changing.
I got greedy.
For 5 years I've watched @awilkinson & @XavierHelgesen build $100M+ empires "buying businesses"
I love those guys. Invested in both.
But if you sit around a barber shop too long. You'll end up with a haircut.
Here's the story of me buying my first business..
@HarveyMultani 100% agree with this…South FL in general does not have enough housing and real estate projects with a large number of units need to be developed asap.
@rossiadam@franchisewolf@GoodsCapital My grandfather at 94(currently) has continued to manage his real estate portfolio since retiring as an engineer & business owner (30 plus years ago) and I think without it he’d be beyond bored.
I have a dream...
...and Midjourney says it looks like this.
There’s a perfect storm of opportunity for a moonshot in housing:
1) Home affordability in major metros is out of control
2) There are 40 million remote workers in the US with "portable" income equal to the GDP of Australia. (📍Think about that for a moment—a group of like-minded remote workers has the power to pick a spot on a map and create a local economy from nothing.)
3) There's a growing desire for a simpler, healthier lifestyle & sense of community.
🌊Why not build a new kind of village that surfs these mega-trends?
—Inspiring location with great weather, world-class outdoor access, & a regional airport within a 90 min drive (the western slope of Colorado comes to mind)
—Beautifully designed, right-sized homes for $500k (no mansions or keeping up with the Joneses) interspersed with…
—Affordable (even subsidized) multi-family rental housing for service workers, young & lower-income people, and owners of…
—A curated collection of restaurants & shops (individually owned by residents)
—Walk & bike only inside the village
—Lightning fast internet and co-working space
—Hybrid private/home/online school (teachers are residents)
This would be the real deal—not a Disney-esque “new urbanism” development in the burbs. The best of old-world Europe meets the best of modern America. Think Telluride or Alys Beach without traffic or tourists.
It’s a big, audacious idea but only 1% as audacious as projects already underway in Saudi Arabia (e.g. The Line).
I believe there’s huge pent-up demand for this. Heck, I'd leave my beloved Boulder to be part of it.
Who’s in?
(Share this and let's see how much interest there is.🚀)
Started a new biz & hope you can help spread the word:
You all know I love RE deals & teaching. Have tried to combine my passions in different ways over the yrs, including on this feed.
The new biz, @reseedpartners, is by far my most ambitious try:
A strong group of co-founders & I are building what is effectively Y Combinator for real estate operators. (Not affiliated w YC, to be clear!)
Heard enough? **Go over to @reseedpartners, click the website link in the bio & add your email to the relevant list.**
More info:
We will: select cohorts of high-potential people, train them to hunt deals, provide them w $ to live, support them as they hunt, then provide GP co-invest $$ & LP $$$ to take deals down.
Over time, we will:
- help our operators build large, independent real estate businesses, &
- help our own investors build diversified portfolios of high-quality real estate in good markets, structured tax-efficiently, leveraged conservatively, & intended for long-term compounding
**If you are interested in partnering with us as an operator and/or as an investor, please go over to @reseedpartners, click the website link in the bio & add your email to the relevant list.**
In coming days, I’ll share much more about how @reseedpartners got started, who’s working on it, how it’s structured, & where it’s going.
Would sincerely appreciate likes / RTs on this post for reach. Thank you all so much.
@sweatystartup What do you think about a community like this for individuals starting service based businesses or running SMB’s doing under $1mil in rev?
Sadly, Jonathan Tjarks passed away in September.
He is survived by his wife, Melissa, and his son, Jackson, who will turn three in March.
I have donated to support his family here. If you feel so moved, join me. https://t.co/47wXh4bzPN
