@ryanricardo76 Unfortunately, they did not do that for me. They threw me in the fridge. That left me with a sour taste for their next release so much so that I did not even boot up the new content. Whenever they release the next one, I will seriously consider waiting for a sale.
quoting this so my mutuals see it too. No matter how much you and I like their games, we should never forget that arrogant Sony is the worst Sony. so we should do our best to help prevent them from getting any worse, however big or small our contribution can be.
"A week-long boycott won't do anything."
You're probably right.
But before people start talking about month-long boycotts, we first need to prove this community can stay off their consoles for seven days.
Other gaming communities have organized blackouts that lasted weeks because people actually committed.
Meanwhile, this community is split between people ready to boycott and people who'll defend Sony no matter what.
If we can't manage one week, we're not ready for anything bigger.
#PSBlackout
A temporary blackout is just performative. I get we want quick resolve but THIS won't come fast.
If you want real change. Don't buy digital games. Not even one. Never again.
Start by buying Wolverine + Tokon physically. Don't buy GTA 6.
Make the PS6 flop. That's the real test.
I understand if some people don't join the movement for whatever reason, but to purposely mock your fellow gamers who are trying their best to fight for YOUR rights as a consumer, is simply despicable.
At least step aside if you're not willing to help. Have some decency.
Even while you never owned your disc in the first place, the fact you could hold it was to much for them. You shall own nothing and be happy, criminal scum! How the Industry Lied and Deceived; https://t.co/eOem2OJ0F1
We are joining the #PSBlackout in August! @Sony@playstation needs to understand that we are not buying the PlayStation brand without physical media. Join us in supporting this movement to send Sony a message! 💿 NO DISC NO BUY!
Sony wants to abandon fans? Let's give them a small taste of their own medicine!
Together with other creators we call for a 1 week #PSBlackout in August. No logins, no play sessions, no purchases on any of Sony's platforms.
Keine Verbindung zum PSN.
Server Down.
Digitale Spiele lassen sich nicht starten.
Ratet mal, welche Spiele ich trotzdem spielen kann.
Richtig!
Spiele auf der Disk.
Vorausgesetzt die Spiele sind komplett drauf!
Freue mich auf die rein digitale Zukunft. 🥳🙈🤦

SONY HAS BEEN FULLY OFFLINE FOR SIX HOURS
sign-in, ps store, online play, and per user reports - a lot of already-downloaded games.
- sony's status page, word for word: "all services are experiencing issues"
- six hours with the storefront dark on sony's side of the counter too
- a disc runs on your laser, your console, your power. that's the whole dependency chain
sony ends disc production for new playstation games after january 2028.
they're deleting the backup mid-outage.
