Other gaming communities have organized blackouts that lasted weeks because people actually committed.

Meanwhile, this community is split between people ready to boycott and people who'll defend Sony no matter what.

sign-in, ps store, online play, and per user reports - a lot of already-downloaded games.

- sony's status page, word for word: "all services are experiencing issues"
- six hours with the storefront dark on sony's side of the counter too
- a disc runs on your laser, your console, your power. that's the whole dependency chain

sony ends disc production for new playstation games after january 2028.

they're deleting the backup mid-outage.
