@309_Baseball@B_Walton Yeah, it seems they believe they have a logjam in the outfield of at least fringe interesting prospects in AA that is preventing WBC from everyday PT. Cards are hoping one of them can maybe be a ML bench bat, which is worth making WBC wait imo
@309_Baseball@B_Walton I’d venture that the Chase Davis injury is short term, so Cordoba is a place holder. They probably want to give Cho ample runway when he is promoted. I think it says more about their belief in the three regular outfielders there rn. They want to give them regular ABs
@woodbat28@redbirdnerds Yeah, DeGrom spammed sliders there. He’s got a great one, but Walk has also been expanding on that just a bit again in his last few ABs. Something to watch next few days to see if he can dial it back in
@AdamAkbani Fair enough. I've personally found a lot college position players I like after the first round, and I'm assuming they'll go overslot on a few high school guys.
Really excited to see their approach.
@kyler416 Man, everything he has plays up and his results are better when he can just remotely locate the fastball.
I suppose that’s universal, but seems exponentially important for Quinn
@ZachHicks2@VeveJones007@SeafordFootDoc And looking back it was obvious all along. I just remember thinking AR had the lead at the time.
I just wasn't quite knowledgeable on his rhetoric yet
@ZachHicks2@VeveJones007@SeafordFootDoc Tbf we were lured into believing there was a legit comp under false pretenses. I feel like the fanbases' understanding of "Steichen speak" has grown exponentially since that decision
