🚨 #SOMALIA PRESIDENT FACES STARK WARNING FROM WITHIN HIS OWN INNER CIRCLE.
Security chiefs pressure him to urgently change course, warning that he is steering the country towards a dangerous abyss & potentially irreversible collapse. Their message: act before it is too late. 🇸🇴
@Jally_Karungi Go home #UPDF. After 20+ yrs, your withdrawal comes when you faced donor payment cutoff, your presence didn’t help #Somalia achieve a stable & functioning govt, it only sustained an artificial, corrupt, divided one & prolonged the protracted war & suffering of Somalia's. #Uganda
President Afwerki's critique lands, but the real indictment is current Somalia President Hassan Sheikh Mohamud's decade of deliberate sabotage. Across his first term (2012–2017) & second term (2022–2026), he built FMS shells, such as Jubaland, Galmudug, Hirshabelle, SWS & North Eastren state, alongside Puntland State & separatist Somaliland as a permanent foil, each with its own constitution, president, parliament, courts, customs, tariffs, revenue & security, while never codifying fiscal federalism, who taxes, who delivers & how revenue is shared. Banaadir was left orphaned, the three-level state an unfunded fiction & the constitution permanently vague, That wasn't failure, it was design.
The states now opposing the federal authority are the system's intended product & even those that did not oppose the FGS were never implemented or tried. Afwerki is right that warlord-managed mechanisms can't build nations, but @HassanSMohamud didn't inherit that dysfunction. He is the actor who manufactured it. #Africa, #Turkey , #Eritrea , #Somalia
“You can’t build nations through mechanisms that are managed by warlords. You can’t build nations in the name of so-called federal democracies. Federal democracies create a conducive climate for warlords and divisive agencies to manipulate the politics of every nation, distancing the reality from the real objectives that have to be achieved.”
— Eritrean President, Isaias Afwerki to RT
🚨 #BREAKING: UGANDA BEGINS WITHDRAWING ITS TROOPS FROM #SOMALIA!
Ugandan APCs have been spotted heading to Mogadishu Port for shipment back home, as Kampala begins pulling its forces out of Somalia.
The first contingent of withdrawing troops has already returned to #Uganda.
I am deeply concerned about Somalia’s security arrangements, and I am not sure whether the current regime in Villa Somalia fully understands the magnitude of the insecurity facing the country.
God forbid, but the situation resembles that of 1990, when clan-based rebel groups were advancing towards Mogadishu from multiple fronts. Today, we have clan loyalists fighting alongside Al-Shabaab against the federal government. It is unfortunate that the country’s leadership appears unable to foresee what lies on the horizon.
Satellite imagery from 28 Oct confirms damage to power transformers at Al Markhiyat substation in Omdurman, Sudan 🇸🇩, after an RSF drone strike launched from Ethiopia 🇪🇹. The substation was knocked out of service, causing blackouts across much of Khartoum, Gezira and River Nile.
@kiikocollins@DailyMonitor No peace was built in Somalia. For nearly two decades, the UPDF milked Western money in the name of the AU security mission while protecting protracted instability, fragmentation & Mogadishu’s artificial corrupt govts.
There are bars in Rwanda that only serve milk, and tourists are visiting the country just to try them.
Al Jazeera’s @MarahRayan finds out what’s behind this unusual drinking culture.
One week until Election Day. America deserves better than the pedophile protection party.
Knock doors. Make calls. Get your friends to vote.
Let’s elect Democrats up and down the ballot and finally make Trump release the Epstein files.
The Somali Government must ban social media use for Somali soldiers on active duty. TikTok posts of soldiers on convoys enroute to the frontline exposes secret positions & locations of the SNA for al-Shabab to map out surprise attacks.
Ban social media use for active soldiers on duty now! @MoDSomaliya@AhmedMoFiqi
The host: “he's very tired. president trump yet again taking aim at abdul el-sayed, leveling fresh attacks, saying that the election of the democratic senate nominee would threaten christmas.”
President Trump: “i'm here to keep a jihadist muslim brotherhood member from becoming a united states senator. and that's the fact. not gonna let that happen. if abdul and the democrats win, they will open the floodgates and invite hordes of jihadists to our shores, creating a nightmare of violence and terror until you cannot even have a christmas.”
The host: “republicans have increasingly drawn attention to el-sayed's muslim faith during the closing weeks of one of the most important races of the midterms. but el-sayed is now firing back.”
Abdul El-Sayed: “i get that the president of the united states takes personal offense to my first name. he doesn't mind as much when it's a shared name from the saudis who are funding his son-in-law's private equity. doesn't seem to mind as much when it's the qataris who are giving him a $400 million private jet. i don't care how he pronounces my name. i don't even care that he remembers my whole name, because he can just go on and call me senator after november. i will be senator muhammad to you, bro.”
The host: “david wasserman, i would have thought that it would be less risky to play the socialist card against abdul el-sayed than the muslim card. i want to show you some data first, the head-to-head in this race. we've got it at 49-47. that comports with cook political report, right? you see it that way?”
David Wasserman: “yeah.”
The host: “okay. second slide. look at how independents are now regarding socialism. there's been an uptick in favorability. they've moved in the last year from 37% favorable to 45% favorable. third slide. now let's talk about the way in which americans perceive muslims. 43% perceive them as less patriotic than other americans. this is according to pew research. 42% have a negative impact on the country. that's the perception of muslims. i guess therein lies the answer as to why this is the way the white house, the president, is going in the last eight days. that's still a minority of the electorate. it's pretty disheartening. is it not?”
David Wasserman: “well, look, if you're republicans and you're a strategist for mike rogers' campaign — i'm curious your take, scott — but you'd rather be prosecuting the case on el-sayed's positions on the issues than calling him a jihadist. you'd rather be talking about abolishing a federal law enforcement agency and open borders. you'd rather be talking about socialized medicine. but most voters in michigan personally know someone who's muslim. and the arab american vote in michigan is twice as large as the jewish vote. but really the target here is the voters who are doubly disenchanted with trump and not yet comfortable with the democratic alternative. that should be rogers' audience. right now, they're very negative towards socialism, but they're also very negative towards republicans on tariffs and energy costs. i think the canadian tariffs are what put mike rogers in a bind and make it very difficult for him to separate himself from the president enough to win the race.”
Few days ago, Trump insulted a list of countries including #Libya and #Somalia, calling them “shithouse” countries.
In response, Libya’s de facto ruler, Saddam Haftar made a statement condemning Trump’s remakes.
Interestingly, Trump changes his tune immediately, releasing a statement experience his admiration & support for Libyan people.
I wonder why Somali leaders don’t have the backbone to do the same.
Defend the dignity of our country. That’s what you are elected for?! Spineless leadership!
@KagutaMuseveni President HSM visit to Uganda was aimed at securing UPDF support to help Somalia defeat both the armed opposition & Al-Shabaab & Prez. Museveni said that Somalia will soon receive Uganda’s value-added coffee, a step in the right direction. I thank H.E. Mohamud for this support.
Kenya has recorded at least 83 building collapses between 2020 and October 2026, according to Stats Kenya.
Nairobi leads with 30 collapses, followed by Kiambu with 13.
Here is how the numbers break down by year:
2020 — 5
2021 — 9
2022 — 14
2023 — 9
2024 — 12
2025 — 10
2026 — 24 so far
Shame on you, stop bragging about vague registration & election numbers while you dismantle the country. Your election is neither one person, one vote nor traditional elders choosing their representatives; it is HSM selecting for all tribes to return to power, impossible, & it cannot work for you.
Your inhumanity is beyond imagination: tens of thousands of Mogadishu families have been forcefully evicted, their homes demolished, many cases homes worth around $100,000 demolished so the land can be sold for about $20,000 for your personal benefit, while you openly run fake election financing. You are the worst predatory leader in the world. You will not rest wherever you go; power is transient, & justice will catch you. @HassanSMohamud
Previous govts may have failed to deliver services as you have, but at least they refrained from such crimes against #Mogadishu citizens. It is expected that if you cannot help citizens, at minimum you don’t make them suffer & loot them, but that did not happen. #Somalia
