Born in the late ’80s, theatre was the thing, and Alex Mukulu was a name synonymous with drama. His voice later became a household presence on Radio Simba and Impact Radio. Only in his final years did I truly grasp his wisdom. R.I.P. Mr. Alex Mukulu. Uganda has lost a true asset.

Each of these citizens deserves their freedom. If some of them are dead, their families deserve closure. They deserve to know what happened to their people. So draining. So tragic😭
Today, I flagged off Eid items for our comrades in prison ahead of tomorrow’s Eid celebrations and later visited Luzira Women’s Prison and Luzira Remand Prison while other leaders visited the other prisons. Our duty to each other remains unwavering.
Eid Mubarak 🕌📿
Fellow Ugandans and friends of Uganda!
Two months ago, Museveni yet again usurped the will of the people of Uganda and declared himself president on gunpoint. A day later, gripped by shame and fear, the military invaded my home to harm me, but I was able to evade them and go into hiding.
Over the past two months, the regime has looked for me everywhere. They have raided the homes of many colleagues and fellow leaders, mounted roadblocks and spot checks of vehicles and motorcycles, arrested and dismissed the police officers assigned to my campaign, raided our home in the village, and kept my home under siege. Well, they couldn't find me because the people of Uganda sheltered me and protected me.
Today, I am announcing my brief exit from the country to handle important work. Over the next few weeks, I will engage with our friends and allies all over the world before returning to Uganda to continue the push for freedom and democracy! For now, let's remain focused and united.
#FreeUgandaNow
@CultonScovia I've tried countless times to define this country, its leaders and its people but have failed on all fronts. my heart is socked in sorrow whenever i think #Uganda 😓😢
@martinssempa@YkeeBenda you may never get an apology because Pastors have become clowns that politicians use and soon we may not be able to recognize the church we grew up knowing
@SimonKaggwaNjal@EriasLukwago_@SimonKaggwaNjal am sure your head can serve you better, loosing an election doesn’t mean Lukwago is useless now or the one who was voted in. Before you start comparing who is better over time this country needs @EriasLukwago_ more than ever
Interestingly, the NRM government has reestablished a roadblock at Kitubulu, Entebbe, the same place where the Obote's government erected one after the 1980 polls.
Human rights were abused at that roadblock.
When Mr. Museveni captured power, he removed it.
Now, it is back.
