Starting over. All in on AI. Letting AI take me 0 → 1 in media & business 🚀 Can't type, so I run it all by voice 📞 Documenting every real step, no hype 🧪
One rule for the AI that helps run my notes: no source, no fact.
Every claim needs a link, a check date, and where it applies. Can't find one? It gets marked "unverified."
Result as of mid-October: 99 notes. 54 partly verified. 43 unverified. 1 retired. Exactly 1 fully verified.
Sounds bad. Turns out it's the useful part.
Back in July a routine check opened the official page for a video tool I'd saved a whole tutorial on. It had been shut down since April. Without the rule, that tutorial would still be getting recommended as a working tool.
Now every source has a "re-check by" date. AI changes too fast to save conclusions. Save when you checked them.
How do you keep outdated AI advice from sneaking back into your notes?
@LukasYelle@SamVale29 Ha, the nightmare is the version without it. When something breaks, I just scroll back and see which change did it. What's the worst mystery change you've had to trace?
“Did you write this?” is the wrong question.
“Can you prove it?” is the right one.
I gave my AI one rule: no source, no fact.
Out of nearly 100 notes, it only marked one as fully verified.
That made me trust it more, not less.
What rule are you running yours under?
@cto_junior Ha, the 10TB job survives because nobody remembers who owns it. Tokens show up on one invoice with a name on it. Whose budget do yours land on?
@sahilypatel "Would you actually talk like this?" is the best edit test I know. I talk to my AI by voice since typing isn't my thing, and the drafts sound way more like me. Do you make them read it out loud?
@aiedge_ Open-sourcing the whole setup is generous, but a winner's config rarely transfers as-is. If you could only steal one piece of it, which would it be?
Banks are blocking AI agents from customer accounts.
I get why.
When I gave my AI access to my seller dashboard, it was read-only.
It pulled the fee page and stripped every order number.
Useful agents don't need your login.
They need clear boundaries.
Would you ever give one write access to your bank?
@heyblake Agreed. "What would you Google to find us again?" is the sneaky one, it hands you your listing copy for free. Which question surprises founders most?
@jasonlk Love the first-party data point. When my AI tried tracking viral Toutiao posts, it couldn't find samples with verifiable time, author and reach, so it said so.
