【中國雪豹種群數量增至約5000隻】國家林草局消息，10月23日，是世界雪豹日。自2013年系統性開展雪豹專項保護工作以來，中國持續加強雪豹保護及其棲息地修復，雪豹棲息地質量和生態系統完整性持續向好，種群數量和繁衍活力不斷提升。目前，中國雪豹種群數量已由2013年的約2500隻增至現在的約5000隻，實現倍增；棲息地總面積約208萬平方公里，占全球總量的60%以上，是全球雪豹分布最廣、種群數量最多、棲息地面積最大的國家。
