During his inaugural address at the #ASSOCHAM #MahaMSMErashtraEmpowermentSummitAndAwards2024 as chief guest, Mr Uday Samant, Hon'ble Minister for Industries, Government of Maharashtra stated that the Maharashtra Government is upbeat about the startup sector and in the near future it wants to the number of startups to grow to 50,000.
He further mentioned that:
📈When startups get launched, it is also important to monitor whether they continue to operate or they have closed down. An analysis on the health of startups and the challenges faced by them needs to be undertaken.
📈Earlier the companies, which used to get overseas investments in Maharashtra were given red carpet treatment but today we are also giving red carpet treatment to even those companies which make Rs 50,000 investment. Today, compared to other states Maharashtra’s top position in attracting foreign investment is due to first class treatment to companies’ right from MSMEs to large corporates.

🚨 PM Modi Inaugurates Vadodara - Bharuch section of the Delhi - Mumbai expressway.

Gokhale Bridge Update:

-The work on one section of the #GokhaleBridge is nearly complete, with final finishing touches and curing underway at SV Roadside Access, along with the application of the mastic layer. This process is expected to take around 7 to 10 days. Once completed, the bridge will be opened for two-way movement on one side. An exact date for the opening will be communicated soon, likely either next week or in the first week of March, but no later than that.

-The approaches to Telli Gully will also be opened concurrently.

-However, there will be a height barrier of 2.8 meters in place initially, restricting the movement of vehicles above that height. This barrier will be removed by May 31st, allowing all vehicles of any height to pass through. Since one side of the Gokhale bridge is equivalent to 3 lanes in width, all traffic issues due to the closure will be resolved.

-The task of aligning the Gokhale Bridge with the CD Barfiwala flyover has been assigned to three consultants, including IIT and VJTI. This alignment will be carried out based on their reports and recommendations, with a deadline set for December 31st, 2024.
-The work on the second side of the Gokhale Bridge will commence as girders are currently being processed in the factory. The launching of girders and piers will begin, with a targeted completion date set for December 31st, 2024.
