Sardar Udham was very well made. Beautiful film. No Akshay Kumar type chutiyapa (romantic songs with a zero size new comer, forced emotions). Hard to believe India didn't choose this film for Oscar entry. Seems Slavery is the only thing blue collar officers have imbibed.
So, an Emmy nomination for someone who has created his whole career in standup out of ridiculing our culture and throwing generalizations to please the so called elites.
But Sardar Udham ko Oscar mein nahi bhejna because it projects hate against the British.
Utha le re deva! 🤦♂️
Movie Sardar Udham Singh is not hate it's fact! And fact is fact! This is what British did to us and these British's never apologized for Jallianwala Bagh! True Indian would have sent this movue to Oscar.

Sardar Udham in my view is the best movie ever made by Bollywood in last few decades. It would easily get Oscar for best picture (if Oscars had no bias) and National Film Awards.
Excellent direction, cinematography, and brilliant acting.

Indian Oscar jury rejects ‘Sardar Udham’ and history; calls movie divisive and hateful towards British
It is surprising and shocking that Indian Oscar jury members openly rejected and whitewashed the struggles of the Indian freedom movement.

Seriously when I heard the reason why Sardar Udham was rejected in the Oscar's just because the jury felt that it portrayed hatred against the British made me really question if nowadays people can really handle the fact that films are & should be depiction of truth. No offense.

One jury member rejected Sardar Udham from nomination to Oscar race because it projects hatred towards British. This when movie clearly has multiple dialogues by protagonist saying he doesn't hate British civil servants doing their duty in London, he hates imperialism.
Sardar Udham Singh was a good movie told beautifully. It tells a story of a horrific truth of India’s past and the brutality of the British. It is a movie on par with Oscar Winners Schindler’s List & A Life is Beautiful. Britishers & Portuguese unleashed horrors on us Indians.
so sardar udham was rejected for oscar nomination because "the movie projects too much hatred against the british"
the jury member should watch 'the battle of algiers' (1966), which won the golden lion at the venice film festival and was nominated for three academy awards
Indian oscar panel is still loyal to the British crown than The people. Sardar Udham Singh was rejected, just because its shows truth(Hatred for some intellectuals).
Suppose 12 years a slave being rejected from Oscars just because it shows whites in a negative way.

Votes of people need to be taken into consideration to send movies to Oscars. While 90% of the nation wants Sardar Udham Singh to be nominated for an Oscar, that didn't happen because a couple members of a certain jury ordered otherwise. 🌚
Sardar Udham out of Oscar entry because jury members felt it shows our hatred for British. Why shouldn't we hate British government? t's been more than 100 years of Jalianwala Bagh but no official apology from them!
Yet, we don't hate the common British people. Here is the reply:
