@AirCanada I was on this flight. I chose to book an independent indigo flight to reach delhi from Baku as I had an important meeting to attend to. I had my 4-year old kid with me and did not want to be stranded at the airport after the AC crew left everyone without any further information.
@AirCanada I started my journey from DSM airport (USA) at 8:30 am US CST on 21 Oct 2023 and reached my final destination in india at 6:00 pm IST on 23 October 2023. I was on airports and in transit for more than 48 hours with a 4-year old kid. It was utter mismanagement on part of airlines.
@AirCanada There was no accountability on the part of AC. Some people like me boarded the next flight @IndiGo6E to delhi. Some figured their way out of the airport to hotels. Others were dispersed all over the airport to find comfortable spots to lay down. AC crew made no efforts to help.
@AirCanada It took us about 3-4 hours after landing at Baku to de-board the plane and pass security check to get into the airport. This was the meal given after we landed at Baku. A cold dry cheese sandwich and a bottle of water. There was no milk or kids food.
@AirCanada No wheelchairs for the elderly and they were left to themselves to figure out what to do. Many of them canβt even communicate in English. The local language at Baku is not even English.
@AirCanada I was sorry to see the plight of elderly & parents with kids who kept waiting for AC crew for help.I am glad to not wait any further after 6 hours of no help by AC.I took correct decision to take the next available flight to delhi. AC crew just left the airport & did not care
The Aravind lab is seeking a new postdoc: We would like someone with computation/bioinformatics background who is excited by the molecular details of biochemistry/biology to work on projects relating to protein evolution/discovering novel biochemistry/biological conflict systems
Some exciting work from our lab that throws light on the growing connections between the common foundations of multicellularity, apoptosis and immunity across distant branches of life is on the horizon.
