Sofía Petro Alcocer, filha do ex-presidente colombiano Gustavo Petro, publicou um vídeo em que declara apoio ao presidente Luiz Inácio Lula da Silva e faz uma defesa das políticas públicas brasileiras.

Em uma mensagem direcionada aos brasileiros, Sofía afirma que o Brasil se tornou sua “segunda casa” e diz que atualmente “a América Latina tem os olhos e a esperança colocados aqui”.

Ela conta que chegou ao Brasil por acaso e que se apaixonou pela cultura brasileira, destacando as músicas, as danças e a estrutura destinada à cultura. Em tom descontraído, também relata que tentou jogar futebol no país, sofreu uma lesão e acabou sendo atendida pelo SUS.

Segundo Sofía, após receber atendimento e medicamentos, ela perguntou onde deveria pagar. Ao descobrir que o atendimento e os medicamentos haviam sido oferecidos gratuitamente pelo sistema público de saúde, ficou surpresa com a experiência.

A filha de Gustavo Petro também conta que passou um período em uma universidade pública brasileira e afirma ter ficado impressionada ao perceber que filhos de trabalhadores e filhos de pessoas ricas estudavam na mesma instituição.

A partir dessas experiências, Sofía faz uma defesa contundente da manutenção das estruturas públicas brasileiras.

Ela pede que os brasileiros não permitam que sejam destruídas as políticas públicas voltadas à cultura, à saúde e à educação, e afirma que é necessário valorizar quem fortalece essas redes.

Na parte final do vídeo, a colombiana amplia o discurso para o cenário latino-americano. Segundo ela, “somos muitíssimos os que acreditamos que nosso continente não se vende” e que “a América Latina não cabe no pátio traseiro de ninguém”.

Sofía encerra a gravação defendendo uma América Latina livre e declarando apoio direto ao presidente brasileiro:

This is absolutely insane! The US government is desperately trying to protect a drug-trafficking network of corrupt right-wing political operatives, election meddlers, and assassins in Latin America.

Bolivia's attorney general was investigating the US asset Fernando Cerimedo, a criminal who hired hitmen to kill his pregnant ex-girlfriend.

Cerimedo oversaw a large scheme of US-sponsored election meddling in Latin America, putting in power right-wing, pro-US politicians by rigging elections, operating countless bots, and spreading mountains of disinformation online.

Cerimedo worked for pretty much all of the right-wing, pro-US leaders in Latin America, and he collaborated very closely with the Trump administration. He was given an award in Mar-a-Lago a few weeks before he was arrested, and was photographed with Donald Trump Jr.

This scandal was all exposed when Cerimedo failed to assassinate his pregnant ex-girlfriend, and was subsequently arrested. She has since revealed a lot of his dirty laundry, with thorough evidence.

Bolivia's attorney general has also been investigating Cerimedo for drug trafficking and money laundering.

So the Trump administration got desperate to silence the Bolivian attorney general. First the US government hit him with sanctions, and now it ordered the corrupt right-wing Bolivian government to arrest him, to stop the investigation into the criminal Cerimedo.

Now, in Kafkaesque fashion, the US government claims he was arrested because of supposed drug trafficking and corruption. But he was the one investigating the drug trafficking and corruption of a powerful US asset!

The US government is the main protector of drug cartels in Latin America.

- where are the cabin crew here?
- where are the oxygen masks that automatically drop during a rapid emergency descent?
- how did the Capt manage to open the door while being stabbed?
- Omani pilots were not allowed to fly to Israel, why was he allowed?

- why has this happened so close to elections?
- how are passengers walking around while apparently in a nosedive?

Let me get this straight.

An AI agent found login credentials lying around online and used them to pull data from the Census Bureau. It tried to break into the Education Department's civil rights office. It posted SEC data to a forum. It probed the Navy and the White House budget office, possibly hundreds of thousands of times.

If you or I did any of that, it's a CFAA indictment, a perp walk, and a DOJ press release with our mugshot in the header.

When OpenAI does it, it's a "routine research task."

They found the government incidents while reviewing their other hacks. The breach audit, uncovered more breaches. It's breaches all the way down.

In bug bounty there's scope, authorization, rules of engagement, and disclosure timelines. Researchers get banned for a fraction of this.

Huang said the public should read between the lines: AI developers aren’t asking for stricter oversight. They’re lobbying to be exempt from existing laws covering product liability, enforcement of contracts and unauthorised access.

I made the same point when the first security incident was reported.

Jensen said that existing laws already cover computer misuse, damage caused by software and system failures. Promoting fear of existential threats is a deliberate public relations tactic because it helps companies replace corporate liability with laws written specifically for AI and approved by governments. Those laws protect developers from responsibility when their systems fail or cause harm.

Politicians reinforce this protection by invoking competition between countries. Ted Cruz uses the AI race against China to excuse harms before they happen, saying that regulatory delays will leave the United States behind its foreign rivals.

I described this as giving tech companies a get out of jail free card for every harm they cause and every law they break in the name of a so-called race against China.

Cruz said if there are going to be killer robots, he wants American killer robots. That treats the prospect of harm as acceptable provided America produces the technology first. By presenting AI development as an urgent national security priority, politicians give tech companies permission to bypass safety standards, disregard environmental damage and avoid legal accountability.

Huang’s statements deserve scepticism because he has his own commercial interests. However, his assessment of executives’ motives is accurate. Tech developers and politicians manufacture fears of existential threats and competition over national security to replace normal legal liability with specially written regulations that protect their power.
