And you do realise that when you say

It reads like we are the first Government to break our obligations under the UN Charter of Refugees like The 1951 Refugee Convention and its 1967 Protocol, @Refugees

Something so important that we helped draft it and were original signatories to it and the UK Government recently said

@mikegalsworthy Prior to leaving the EU we had final say on 87% of our laws. Only 13% were negotiated because they affected more than 1 country and we had a say in negotiations. And even then the principle of subsidiarity could override those negotiations. So we have gained nothing by leaving
