I’ve signed @38Degrees’ petition calling on King Charles to do the right thing and reject a HUGE 45% royal payrise. Taxpayer funds should go towards public services like our NHS, not towards boosting the @RoyalFamily’s coffers. Add your name. https://t.co/GfRUuQjgTi
But @RishiSunak you do understand don't you, they can't make any genuine human rights claims either.
And you do understand the majority have a right to asylum here, it is your party that has failed, but closing down legal routes

And you do realise that when you say
"These laws go further than any government has gone before."
It reads like we are the first Government to break our obligations under the UN Charter of Refugees like The 1951 Refugee Convention and its 1967 Protocol, @Refugees
Something so important that we helped draft it and were original signatories to it and the UK Government recently said
The UK has a long and proud history of providing protection to those that need it. The 1951 UN Refugee Convention and its 1967 Protocol are the cornerstone of this proud history, and the Government is committed to upholding our international obligations.
@JMPSimor
And here we are - an open admission of what we have all been saying; it is no longer possible to claim asylum in the UK - the UK is now in breach of international human rights and refugee law.
🚨NEW: The planet is burning & Sunak is asleep at the wheel. He should attend #COP28, help secure global agreement to phase out fossil fuels, & get serious about abundant & affordable clean energy here at home.

@mikegalsworthy Prior to leaving the EU we had final say on 87% of our laws. Only 13% were negotiated because they affected more than 1 country and we had a say in negotiations. And even then the principle of subsidiarity could override those negotiations. So we have gained nothing by leaving
I’ve been a proud member of @euromove since October 2022. I can genuinely feel the power of the movement today with so many new members joining. Together, I really believe we will start to unpick the major problems with Brexit and restore our place in the neighbourhood. #RejoinEU
Just saying it as it is... Brexit is a failed experiment. It's fine to experiment, but we can't just sit around now. It's time to plans to rejoin, step-by-step, rebuilding our business links, cultural bonds, opportunities, trade, science, security & more.
