Ayrıca, bugün “Rusya yanlısı bölgeler” gibi söylemler dolaşsa da, Ukrayna’nın toprak bütünlüğü ve siyasi yönelimi 1991’de zaten açık biçimde belirlenmişti.

On this day in 1991, more than 90% of Ukrainians chose independence.

The clear majority answered “Yes” to confirm the Act of Declaration of Independence of Ukraine in all the regions, including in the east and Crimea.

It was a long-awaited choice to live in a free, independent and sovereign state.

Today, Ukraine remains united and resolute in the face of Russia’s full-scale war.

We stay committed to defending our homeland, preserving our freedom and protecting our people.

Grateful for continued support of our partners as we work together to restore a just peace and stability for Ukraine and the entire rules-based international order.
