@TWenseleers Much wider daylight windows and derived culture drive the ratio of social contacts indoors/outdoors, hence the impact on the transmission of airborne viruses. There is no need to move to rural areas during summer to majorly impact transmission risks.
@TWenseleers@HarrySpoelstra@vanranstmarc@LucSels@KU_Leuven@ECDC_EU The biggest mistake in this pandemic was and still is to go for vaccination ONLY, instead of educating people on a AIRBORNE transmission modes and making sure as much as possible indoor settings are taken care of. The 1.5 meter high-risk contact definition killed so many.
@CathNoakes @nathan_wood_8@OpenAI This is not an engineering problem. It is more a problem of awareness of the impact during and between pandemics. If people knew, they would start demanding clean air and making choices based on air quality. "Customer" demand is the only and most decisive way forward.
@MarionKoopmans What about the negative consequences of incorrect @WHO tweets and documents saying covid-19 is not airborne? When caring about false information out there, please act. These are even not retracted up until now. @mdc_martinus@vanranstmarc
@Iamgoingtosleep@DrTedros@davidnabarro@RoyalFamily@WHO It is even a lot worse. A flat-earth believer never caused anyone to fall off the edge. Propagating large droplets as the primary transmission mode has caused many to die and suffer.
@Emmanuel_microb "Super spreading does not dominate" cannot be concluded, as the study did not include bigger events. And 64% of events still have >50% positive attendants, which enlights the potential of super spreads. The upsized events did not shrink the infections/attendants ratio at all.
@Emmanuel_microb 90 NYE events in this study.Avg attendies=9. Size restrictions applied at the time.
Infection/attendants ratio known for 61 cases.
64% events has >50% of attendants positive
=> huge super spread potential, absence of limiting factors accelerates an exponential rise in cases.
@Skogsfrun13 The lowest on earth will be 420ppm+ now. Being closer to busy areas (CO2 sources) influences the reading. 480ppm might be correct when the meter shows 425ppm in rural areas. To assess the share of rebreathed air, we should use inside minus outside. https://t.co/lFnhAzsGDv
