This is less than 5 hectares. In fact, it’s actually just 2.5 hectares.

5 greenhouses, each 500 square metres, with more than 8,000 tomato plants, together with 4 pigsties, each with a capacity of a 10-sow unit, housing more than 1,000 pigs.

This is intensive farming as a business.

There are businesses that simply won’t make sense on 2.5 hectares. You can’t do soya bean production on such a small plot and expect to make serious money. You can’t do commercial maize and expect to break production records.

But intensive farming enterprises can make perfect sense.

It is diversified, the land is precisely utilised, and every square metre is being made productive.

I think there is a very decent market for DUCK meat in Zimbabwe to be had.

I mean on a commercial scale

Id start with 10000 Pekin ducks take control of the whole market.

The Chinese absolutely love duck & the population is estimated around 30k to 80k then you have the White folk & diasporan community.

Im a 100% convinced this will work brilliantly always have been
