Safeguarding
Protecting our athletes starts with policy.
UOC/CGU has consulted federation heads to align our Safeguarding Policy with Strategic Objective 6: strengthening the wellbeing of high-performance athletes across Uganda’s sports ecosystem, from grassroots to elite level.
The policy targets real risks: physical, sexual, and emotional abuse, bullying, doping, and online harm in-training, camps, travel, and coaching environments. It creates safe spaces, clear reporting channels, fair response mechanisms, and ongoing education for all.
Every athlete deserves to compete safely. That’s our commitment.
