@Pamela_Toney I’m so sorry your Mom went through that. And for the generational trauma those places caused. We went to the Sipekne'katik Entertainment Centre
to buy orange shirts for the reason you mention.
@DrZoffness @DHidlayVIR I am bamboozled by the parents of your patient thinking it’s no big deal. Yikes!!!! I hope that their lack of care stems from being in their own desperate situation with their concerns exhausted in meeting basic needs of food/housing. Otherwise, I’m crying for humanity
@HRMFireNews Thank you for running this page. I’ve wondered before if you are my friend Minh Tahn but I don’t think he has fire dept connections and I don’t actually know who you are since you do you work generously with anonymity!
@plus_lens@HRMFireNews Sadly also depending on the policy, insurance may not be enough to replace items once the insurance company applies their depreciation formula. And being underinsured is common unfortunately.
@writenrun Nope not over at all! Attended a mandatory in person team meeting yesterday and the person beside me was visibly sick, she had to leave the room coughing at one point, no mask. I understand why she attended but it also made me so uncomfortable and sad.
@writenrun So sad. I’m scared for what we may learn about Covid. I’m the same age she was and have not been back to normal since getting Covid in September. I’m now recovering from a chest infection and my first ear infections since I was a kid.
@ChuckWurster @writenrun I completely agree with getting vaccinated/boosted and wearing a mask. I agree Covid is terrible. But also have to say I lost my father to cold/flu in May. He died in an ICU not from Covid.
@writenrun Hope your folks get through it ok. I caught Covid in August and it was no joke. Lost my Dad in May after he caught the flu. 2+ years he avoided C19 and stupid flu took him, he was 87 😢
