.@G7 has concluded with migration as a key issue, especially from Africa. It is a step in the right direction to acknowledge the lack of livelihood opportunities in migrants' homelands, where a large percentage of the population relies on farming. As soil degradation and desertification take their toll, reviving millet cultivation with tree-based agriculture is a long-term solution. Millet ensures basic nourishment, while trees are standing wealth on the land – an incentive for people to not leave their homelands. This can be a game-changer for large-scale migration from Africa. Let us make it happen. –Sg #SaveSoil

As we approach this year’s Yoga Day, it is essential to reiterate our commitment to making Yoga an integral part of our lives and also encouraging others to make it a part of theirs. Yoga offers a sanctuary of calm, enabling us to navigate life's challenges with calm and fortitude.
Wonderful to see women and children of Rajasthan coming out in such a large number for the wellbeing of the planet on this World Day to Combat Desertification and Drought. Rajasthan has done pioneering work in reversing desertification and drought in the state and continues to set a shining example for the rest of the nation. Congratulations and Blessings. -Sg #SaveSoil
We should have reclaimed the name ‘Bharat’ when the British left our shores. A name will not do everything but it is important the country is named in a way that reverberates in everyone’s heart. Even though the Nation means everything to us, the word ‘India’ has no meaning. If we are unable or unwilling to change the name of the Nation officially, it is time we at least bring ‘Bharat’ into our daily parlance. Younger generations must know that Bharat existed long before India was born. Congratulations @ncert. -Sg
