On our way to @GrandTheatreLS1 for #bloodbrothers. Students excited and coped wonderfully with an m62 delay meaning we’ll be a few mins late. Hoping Mrs J will wait for us!
@GrandTheatreLS1@Bloodbrotour 98 staff and students stuck on the M62 en route to #bloodbrothers - we’re on the move now but eta 2.45pm Students gutted to be missing Mrs J’s opening number

One of our y11 girls has spent every break/lunchtime this year & last on her own in the library. She has resolutely rebuffed every attempt at conversation. Today she asked me to sign her shirt. I was the only person she’d asked. School libraries are important for so many reasons
Y13 Film students’ last lesson today - so we celebrated with a showing of their short films and an Oscar ceremony. Enjoyed every minute of teaching this class - and prepping our final lesson! @HaslingdenHigh@SixthFormHHS
@HaslingdenHigh I got to do the ‘check in’ phone call earlier this week for our students at Broadway Primary - was so lovely to hear how polite and pleasant they had been.
Just home from an energising day visiting @HaslingdenHigh, Lancashire - a school that lives and breathes clear values, high expectations, deep humanity. Thanks to Headteacher @mrclarke05 (@ASCL_UK Exec member) and the whole staff team for making me so welcome.
Super impressed that two of my Y8 students chose the ‘make a cake based on the novel we’re reading’ homework.
Well done to Ben and Josh who brought in very yummy offerings - loved Josh’ meringue memories and Ben’s icing apple. Thanks for sharing with the class!
@HaslingdenHigh
@mrclarke05 Brilliant to feature a fostering family and promote fostering. Have to admit, I’ve never learned to skateboard for any of the children I’ve fostered… yet! 😂
He was already a legend - now a legend who adopts! Love that @JohnLewisRetail feature a fostering family. Have to admit, I’ve done many thing but haven’t learned to skateboard for any of the 19 children I’ve fostered. #Fostering
Film Club is back on at HHS - and of course I’ve started the Christmas films. There was dual screening but Nightmare Before Christmas was a hit. Back on next week. Mondays 3-4.30pm. All y7/8s welcome. @HaslingdenHigh
