People question the government’s track record on this front. The previous government’s agreement with the #IMF led to a tsunami of inflation, with prices of essential items skyrocketing. The people were left to bear the brunt of the government’s decisions, with no relief in sight. The current government’s decision to reduce #petroleum prices was a welcome move, but its inability to control #hoarders and #profiteers has rendered this effort ineffective.

Let me be clear: the budget consultation meeting is a positive step, with various suggestions and proposals put forward to provide relief to the people. However, the real test lies in the government’s willingness to implement these measures. The people are tired of empty promises and half-hearted measures. They need concrete relief, and they need it now.

The government must learn from the past and take a stance that benefits the people, not just the IMF. The nation is watching, and the #budget will be a test of the government’s commitment to the people’s welfare. Will the government rise to the challenge and provide a #people_friendly_budget, or will it succumb to the IMF’s demands and further burden the people? Only time will tell.

The IMF’s conditions are stringent, and the government’s acceptance of these conditions will only lead to more suffering for the people. The government must find a way to balance its obligations to the IMF with its responsibility to the people. This is not an impossible task, but it requires a willingness to take a stand and prioritize the people’s needs.

The budget is not just a document; it is a reflection of the government’s priorities. If the government prioritizes the people’s needs, it will be a step towards building a more equitable society. If it prioritizes the IMF’s demands, it will be a betrayal of the people’s trust.
