Valve removed the AG2 beta build, but I downloaded version from 22. April.
You don't even understand how good that version was compared to the latest one.
Latest one feels like AG1 with wiggling legs.
The overall feeling, the kill feedback, the movement, the gun play, peeker's advantage, pure enjoyment.
I hope I will finish the video about that today.
It was not against bots (even against bots it feels better)
I played against a friend and he had 60 ping. The gameplay was so smooth, we didn't even think about the ping.
@ThourCS2 unfortunately yes...and iam angry that i could never pinpoint the issue...so i dont have numbers, the only thing i can say they are rewriting alot of stuff and doing alot of silent updates, beyond that i could not pinpoint nothing and that makes me angry asf
When AnimGraph2 was in beta and I tested it on the community servers and what AnimGraph2 is now, there's a lot of difference.
I don't have any numbers to support my statement, but if you have played in both periods, you would know. Something is wrong.
For me, CS2 version 1.41.5.5 and all versions back to the early AnimGraph 2 beta felt great.
Everything felt synchronized, responsive, and consistent. Spraying felt natural, movement felt clean, and the game was simply enjoyable to play.
The strange thing is that the more Valve kept tweaking and fixing things after AnimGraph 2, the worse the game started to feel.
We had multiple updates focused on recoil camera changes, aim punch adjustments, movement smoothing, foot IK, crouch timing, animation syncing, and various networking related tweaks.
On paper these changes sounded good, but for me the overall feeling of the game kept getting worse.
The biggest turning point was the Cache update.
Since Cache was released, the game has felt significantly worse.
Gameplay quality seems to have huge fluctuations from update to update.
Some days it feels decent, other days it feels completely off.
The consistency that existed around the start of AnimGraph 2 is gone.
And let's not forget the armor aim punch change.
I honestly don't know anyone who asked for it.
It feels unnecessary and only makes gunfights less enjoyable.
Right now the game feels desynced and floaty.
Sprays often feel delayed or unstable.
Sometimes it feels like what I see on my screen is not perfectly aligned with what the server sees.
My FPS is good and my ping is good, but the game still doesn't feel right.
I would really love Valve to take a deep look at the changes made after the AnimGraph 2 launch, especially around:
aim punch changes
movement smoothing updates
animation synchronization tweaks
crouch timing changes
subtick consistency adjustments
interpolation and prediction related changes
Because I know CS2 is capable of feeling amazing.
Version 1.41.5.5 proved that.
Somewhere after that point, something changed, and since the Cache update the game has never felt the same to me.
@valvesoftware please fix.
@FACEIT how is it possible that full aimlock cheater can delete his account, remove it from his steam, and then few days later just comes back and continue to play?
How can you be that bad at your work?
People can't believe that you let full rage cheater play on your platform freely.
What message are you sending to your users?
What message are you sending to cheaters?
"Oh come to our platform, play against pro players with full aimlock and enjoy.
If you rage, don't worry cause we have useless AC team and we can't detect anything."
His steam ID is 76561198198451125 that's how I track him while he change names.
I'll just say it, at this point I genuinely wonder if we all collectively hallucinated or if Valve silently changed something.
My games are just as bad as before, Run and Gun on the menu & I still can't hold a fucking corner 🤬
@ThourCS2 I get 3-4 false predictions per game with 2ms ping, really no point in bothering with it... (on 2ms it does still feel significantly better when it works btw - which is kind of crazy...)
I ran server from 25. April, to prove that the game worked better before cache update.
And it's 5x better. I AM ON 68 PING.
Everything is clean, your mouse instant feels "free".
Kill feedback, sounds, holding angles, everything is beautiful.
I can just go around and shoot for hours.
And no armor aim punch.
I knew it was not placibo, or my PC, or "i'm tripping" noobs were saying.
I instant felt that cache update broke the game.
You are always welcome on my kick stream to try this version.
@Kerovski@CounterStrike Can't wait for all the gold novas to gaslight you in the replies, the game is complete ass (again) since the April 29 update (desync, FPS drops...)
I will stop sayin any nice words about Valve.
Whatever you did with the game after last update, feels bad.
I got huge FPS drop on 7800x3d and 9070xt (I cleaned the cache)
Several times I saw my teammates and enemies in front of me all jittery, vibrating.
People again are swinging crazy fast.
A lot of players came to my stream saying something is off with the game.
