I’d like to see an educational system where students are encouraged to compare themselves to their own growth and progress and not to the growth and progress of others.
We all have a different starting place and we all travel at different speeds.

"Teacher preparation programs and professional development opportunities need to offer educators training in nature-, place- and inquiry-based educational approaches."

Another option is @jarinjaffee flip the school day https://t.co/FCSFLzrkkM.
Rethink subjects and how much learning occurs in the so called extracurriculars that happen after and outside of school.
Interesting idea for remaking high school schedules:
- Scrap semesters & 50-minute classes
- Instead, students have 2 long classes per day for 6-to-8 weeks
- Study 1 subject in the morning, another in the afternoon
- When term ends, go to new subjects.

So honored & excited that @EVPLibrary@AYoHH18 are nominees for facilitating meaningful community-to-collective impact. Have a beautiful early evening with other leader-nominees. Wow! 🎉
@Brarian@NoahLenstra Thanks @Brarian. I hadn't seen it either. The other book mentioned, Roads Were Not Built for Cars could potentially change perspective.
I also liked Lesson 2: If you build it, they won't necessarily come.
A Year of Hip Hop was nominated for an award. All those who created, planned, and/or executed are invited to receive this honor. We worked together, let’s celebrate together on March 14, 2019.

Hall: "Cultural Studies insists on the necessity to address the central and urgent questions of a society in the most rigorous intellectual way we have available. Such a vocation is the principal function of a university though scholars are not always happy to be reminded of it".
