@quadziki Meant to reply this to someone, oops!
White-labeling is what it is, but it’s annoying when people keep claiming they’re making the items themselves.
y’all keep bumping up the number with every post 😭 cmon now, there’s a TON of small makers with affordable prices. you just refuse to look or give them a chance.
@gorehund I originally started being a full time artist with only furry art and fursuits. But after constant denials to furcons for years I pivoted to anime art, and now I’m stuck being the “weird furry booth” in anime con purgatory while watching non-furries get into FWA
@gorehund I’ve been vocal about hating this trend.I’m part of an AA group on FB and constantly see non-furry artists get into huge furry cons, while me and my entire furry friend group get denied. It’s disheartening to be pushed out of our community spaces for people only there for money.
@SpannerFox@gorehund But unfortunately it’s never the case. Hundreds of furry applicants get turned down at every show, it’s tough to get in to anything nowadays. Which makes this topic even more disappointing.
Not to start the discourse-of-the-week, but what's your opinion on non-furry vendors in con spaces? I understand sometimes there's overlap but I'm not personally a fan of how generic comic-con vibey some vendor halls have become
fursuit makers, you have GOT to stop giving these random people who don't matter attention when they decide you're too expensive. are people paying your prices ? then your suits are worth that much, period. it doesn't matter what someone who isn't even interested in you says
@FurballNoah@LucifurMorning@FurryWeekend In all seriousness, it’s likely the timeframe that *all* of the convention hotels can be contracted for. And most hotels work using multi-year agreements. So maybe in the future :0
🚨 The keys to being a successful artist in 2026:
- produce as many pieces as possible
- make short form videos of you doing that
⚠️ What I'm doing:
- spend forever on one piece
- whining about pressure to make short form video
