בגלל העניין והחשיבות הציבורית אני ורחלי החלטנו ביחד עם הגרדיאן שהסרט נז״א יהיה נגיש באינטרנט בחינם, ללא הגבלת זמן, כדי שכל אדם יוכל לצפות בו ובעדויות החיילים. זה יקרה בעוד כמה שבועות, בנובמבר, במועד הכי מוקדם שהצלחנו לקבוע. עד אז פנינו לבתי קולנוע בישראל והצענו להם את הסרט ללא עלות, בתקווה שיוקרן בארץ כבר עכשיו, במקביל להפצתו בבתי קולנוע בעולם. הצגתו תהיה החלטה אמיצה אל מול אלימות גדולה שמכוונת להסתרתו. אני יודע שיש ביקוש אדיר לצפות בסרט ואני מקווה שבאופן הזה כולם בקרוב יוכלו לראות אותו: בין אם בבתי הקולנוע ובין אם באינטרנט בעוד כמה שבועות.

הרבה דברים לא נכונים נאמרו עלינו ועל הסרט בשבוע החולף. הסרט מבוסס על תחקיר עיתונאי מקיף של שלוש שנים והפרטים בו מאומתים ומוצלבים. הוא ידבר בעד עצמו והאמת סופה להתבהר.

עשינו את הסרט כדי לעורר דיון ציבורי לגבי המעשים של הממשלה בעזה, ההרג של יותר מ73,000 בני אדם, רובם אזרחים, הנרמול של מלחמת השמדה, של התפיסה ש״אין בלתי מעורבים״. עשרים וארבעה חיילים וחיילות עשו צעד ודיברו מול מצלמה על מה שחברה שלמה לא רוצה לדבר עליו.

ההכרה בזוועות בעזה לא מפחיתה לרגע מהטבח הנפשע של השבעה באוקטובר, שחמאס אחראי עליו, שחיילים מדברים עליו בסרט, ושאין לו שום הצדקה. להפך. הרי ההתעלמות ממה שקורה בעזה היא מהגורמים שסללו את הדרך לשבת הנוראה ההיא. וההתעלמות הזו נמשכת.

עיתונות היא לא בגידה. ביקורת היא לא בגידה. זו חובה של כל אזרח שממשלתו מבצעת פשעים לדעת ושל כל חייל שהיה עד להם לספר. מסתובבים כאן אלפי חיילים כאלה, שיצפו בסרט ויזהו את מה שמתואר בו באופן אישי: את ההרג של אנשים לא חמושים שחוצים קו מדומיין, את אישורי הנז״א במאות, את התקיפות המערכתיות בבתי משפחות, את השריפה וההשמדה הפיזית של עזה, רצח וירי על אנשים רעבים במרכזי מזון ופשעים נוספים שאין להם הצדקה. גם אם זה מפחיד, זו חובתכם למצוא את הדרך להעיד על מה שראיתם. יגידו לכם שכדאי להסתיר את האמת למען הסברה בחו״ל, אבל זה קשקוש. שם יודעים כבר הכל. פשעים לא מסבירים אלא עוצרים. הסתרת האמת קודם כל מרעילה את החברה שלנו ומעל הכל מאפשרת לפגיעה בבני אדם בעזה להימשך.

ובנימה אישית: אני כותב על מדיניות האש של הצבא בעזה בעברית ב״שיחה מקומית״ כבר שלוש שנים. התחקירים זכו להתעלמות בישראל. עכשיו בפעם הראשונה משהו נסדק במסך ההתעלמות - וזה דבר חיובי. זה דבר בריא. כן, זה מגיע עם מחיר אישי גדול. היה שבוע קשה. אבל בתוכו גם יש המון תמיכה, והרבה נדיבות. מה שבטוח: האיומים לא יעזרו. זה לא מרתיע אותנו. אני ורחלי נחזור לארץ ונמשיך להיאבק על עתיד המקום הזה ביחד עם שותפים רבים.

Nicholas Kristof publishes a story about Palestinians being tortured and sexually abused in Israeli prisons in the @nytimes … and suddenly, within HOURS, the entire Western media machine magically rediscovers Hamas rape stories all over again.

What incredible timing.

@CNN.

@BBC.

@CBC.

New York Times.

@globeandmail.

ABC Australia.

Times of Israel.

Le Monde.

New York Post.

Different countries.

Different newsrooms.

Different editors.

Yet somehow they all wake up the very same morning speaking in the exact same language:

“Systematic.”

“Deliberate.”

“Weaponized.”

It’s honestly impressive.

Like watching synchronised swimming for genocidal PR.

And of course the star witness behind this latest media frenzy is Cochav Elkayam-Levy, whose credibility was already torn apart in israeli media after she helped spread some of the most grotesque and still unverified October 7th atrocity propaganda.

The same ecosystem that gave us:

“40 beheaded babies.”

“Babies baked in ovens.”

Mass rape stories that kept changing every six weeks.

Claims so insane and inflammatory that even israeli media eventually started backing away from them.

Yet somehow these people are still treated by Western media like the fucking Warren Commission.

And notice how this works every single time.

The second Palestinians start being seen as human beings…

The second people begin talking about torture camps, rape, starvation, dead children, destroyed hospitals, mass graves, or Palestinians being disappeared into israeli prisons…

BOOM.

Emergency narrative deployment.

Suddenly every front page in the Western world is flooded with stories reminding you that Israelis are the real victims here.

It’s like clockwork.

And spare me the fake outrage from these media institutions.

These are the same outlets that spent nineteen months helping normalise:

The flattening of Gaza.

The mass killing of children.

The destruction of every university.

The bombing of hospitals.

The targeting of medics.

The starvation campaign.

The torture videos.

The sniping of journalists.

The endless parade of dead Palestinian families treated like weather updates.

But now...NOW...they suddenly care deeply about sexual violence.

How convenient.

And notice the difference in standards.

If Palestinians describe torture or rape inside israeli prisons?

“Claims.”

“Allegations.”

“Disputed.”

“Needs verification.”

If an israeli state-linked investigator says Hamas did something?

Instant global headline.

No skepticism.

No caution.

No restraint.

Straight onto the front page of every major newspaper on earth before breakfast.

Palestinians need forensic evidence, satellite imagery, DNA samples, twelve witnesses, and a signed note from God to be believed.

israeli officials just need a press conference and a grieving tone of voice.

And let’s be very clear:

This isn’t about protecting women.

These depraved assholes do not give a rat's ass about women.

You cannot spend almost two years excusing the obliteration of thousands of Palestinian women and girls,

defending torture camps,

laughing off dead mothers clutching shredded children,

and then suddenly pretend to be the global feminist task force.

What they care about is narrative dominance.

They needed Kristof’s story buried.

And fast.

So out came the emergency media package:

same framing,

same buzzwords,

same emotional triggers,

same coordinated roll-out,

same moral panic.

Because the one thing this machine cannot tolerate is sustained public attention on Palestinian suffering.

And what I know for sure is this:

A media system that treats Palestinian torture as a temporary inconvenience but israeli narratives as sacred scripture is not journalism.

It’s a media cartel whose job is to keep Palestinian death politically acceptable...
