It’s that time again to ask for pyjama donations! We’re in particular need of teenage (12-18y) sized pyjamas or loungewear for our young patients who are having unexpected stays on our intensive care unit. New or in great condition, please DM if you can help ❤️
Definitely one of the most hardest degrees to complete, student nurses sacrifice so much during the 3 years of training to become a RN. They must complete 2300 hours to join the nursing register. Be kind to our student nurses, we are the future. @RCN_NI_NRN#RCNNI_NRN
Hi guys! So a while ago I put a message out, I’m writing a dissertation on the impact practise assessors and supervisors have on student nurses self confidence/performance. Well, I have ethical approval! Which means the survey will be out very soon. Please spread the word!!!
If you go into cardiac arrest, without a defibrillator, you have a 7% chance of survival. If a defibrillator is on the patient within 3 mins, the chances of survival is over 70%.
Every school, university, workplace, recreational place should have one. They should be everywhere.
Reflecting on powerful wise words said to me today. We have to make sure and work towards making the NHS become a fair place to work for our children. It is going be hard but we need to be change-makers in order to proceed and lift as we rise. I am going be part of that change 💙
This is your reminder to practice some self care!
Being a student nurse has never been more challenging and stressful. Remember to take a break from university and take some time to relax.
Make yourself a priority. #WeStnNs
Every school should have its own dedicated full-time nurse who sits on the board of governors to tackle issues such as mental health and childhood obesity, a senior nurse leader has urged. @theRCN https://t.co/LcrP47qhJe
I don't understand why in 2021 our children who come into care to be cared for don't automatically receive therapies, therapeutic interventions or mental health support immediately. Please invest in our children + give them the best opportunities we can for them to move forward.
