It is extremely shameful that India abstained from voting on the Gaza ceasefire at the UN General Assembly on June 12, 2025. India has always stood for peace, justice and human dignity.

• More than 60,000 lives have been lost in Palestine—most of them women and children. Thousands are starving and dying, and the international aid has stopped. This is a humanitarian tragedy.

• At such a time, India should have stood firmly in support of a ceasefire in Gaza, but India abandoned its principled stand against war, genocide and justice.

• India has always chosen to stand with Palestine as a matter of principle and not as a strategy, but today that glorious legacy lies reduced to rubble.

• Today, India has abandoned its principles and has bowed down to Tel Aviv. These were the same principles that once made us the guiding light for leadership values ​​to the world.

41 HP Pump Commissioned in Choskore Thang – A Promise Fulfilled alhamdulillah

Delighted to share that the 41 HP pump at Choskore Thang has been successfully commissioned today, 9th June 2025 — a long-standing demand now fulfilled.
This vital step will greatly improve irrigation and water access for the people of Choskore, boosting agriculture and easing daily life.
I sincerely thank Project Director KREDA Mr. Kachoo Ahmed Khan and his team for their swift and committed action after their on-site visit on May 20. Their dedication to delivering before the promised June 10 deadline is deeply appreciated.
Congratulations to the people of Choskore for their patience and perseverance. I remain committed to serving every village of Taisuru with sincerity and focus.

Field Visit by Director Sheep Husbandry UT Ladakh to Taisuru Block
On 9th June 2025, I had the honour of accompanying Mr. Iftikhar Hussain, Director of Sheep Husbandry, UT Ladakh, during his field visit to Taisuru Block, along with DSHO Kargil Mr. Niyaz Ul Hassanain Munshi, Block Officer Dr. Mohd Baqir, and other officials.
The team conducted thorough inspections in several villages and directly interacted with locals and Numbardars from Thangboo, Purtikchey, Youljook, Maita, Kargee, Taisuru, Prantee, Panikhar, Achamboor, Tangole, Thulus Pursa, Numsuru, Parkachik, and others.
Key issues raised included the need for sheep sheds, trained shepherds, quality rams, and better availability of veterinary medicines. The Director patiently heard all concerns and assured due consideration based on departmental priorities.
I extend my sincere thanks to Director Hussain and his team for their valuable time and field engagement. I also appreciate our Numbardars for their proactive participation and commitment to livestock development.
Together, we remain dedicated to strengthening the livestock sector in Taisuru and improving the livelihood of our people.

Grateful for Productive Discussions on Taisuru Highway Issues
Today, I had the opportunity to attend a high-level meeting chaired by Commissioner Secretary Transport & Arbitrator NH, Sh. Bhupesh Chaudhary Ji, and co-chaired by EC LAHDC Kargil, Kacho Mohd Feroz Sahab, at NIC Conference Hall, Kargil.
I raised key concerns regarding the compensation process for land, structures, and trees affected by NH development in Taisuru, and strongly advocated for re-assessment in pending cases. I also highlighted the urgent need for maintenance of the Sangrah to Rangdum road, which has become a major challenge for patients, elders, and travelers.
I’m pleased to share that the Secretary has assured timely action, with road maintenance work set to begin from tomorrow.
Sincere thanks to the Secretary and all officials present for their attention and support in resolving these vital issues for our constituency.

It was a pleasure to witness the energy and sportsmanship of our students. My congratulations to all participating schools and appreciation to the dedicated staff for their commitments.
While we celebrate the success of this event, I take serious note of the challenges shared regarding infrastructure and staffing.

A brown bear and two cubs were rescued from a cemented water tank today.
It is the most satisfying video from my block, Drass!

Not long ago encounters with bears would end up in people attacking them ( it is debatable though- the question of violence against dangerous wild animals ) , but there is a growing awareness nowadays , which is wonderful.

Great work by the wildlife department team who acted swiftly and rescued the bears.

If the government compensates people who are affected by bear and other wild animals on timely basis then I am sure people will be willing to embrace a peaceful coexistence with these beautiful animals!
