On Friday @SD63Brentwood, Ss designed a pattern out of blocks in small groups & assigned each block a value. Then they walked around and solved for the area of each other's patterns & shared out strategies! We ❤️ when #math = building + collaborating + moving around + reflecting
It is through mistakes that knowledge will grow. Teachers do not need to be the all knowing expert. It is better to model being a curious inquirer. Someone who seeks to play with knowledge, learn with students & model being OK making mistakes & learning from them. #LimitlessMind
