Interesting event happened at the same time:

Founding director @tagooty retired (under him the uni was at its best ranking and student club functioning) and till date no director has been assigned to IIT Mandi by the @EduMinOfIndia.

IIT Mandi Convo 21':
Director sir was proudly sharing the fact that student gymkhana organized 300+ events even in COVID.
During the same time, unwanted club election were forced which whole student community and gymkhana strongly opposed. Not even a single nomination was filed.

Government opening malls gyms pubs. Even conducting JEE, NEET and other exams but won't open colleges coz it spreads Corona? Even elections are not stopped but colleges are closed.

When various public places like malls ,theatres, and even schools are being opened up. It's just absurd that Enginnering colleges should remain locked down.

@iit__mandi is waiting for scientists to develop an elixir of life, because apparently, they don't trust the available Covid vaccines which more than 60% of IIT Mandi students have taken. #reopen_iitmandi @EduMinOfIndia @PMOIndia

Supreme Court took less than 5 minutes to decide fate of 11 petitioners and 26 lakh lives - by waving those petitions and saying 'Life must go on ...' via video call.

And is currently taking more than 2 hours for the same petition Review.
