Our pale blue dot. The only planet we know of that’s rare and unique enough to house the most remarkable phenomenon in the universe: life. Pretty sad when you think about it.

Back in middle school and high school, I would literally plan with my buddies to go to one of our houses and watch all of Saturday night together. It was genuinely a holiday to us and something that we would look forward to far in advance. Good memories, man.
As an American citizen it is intensely offensive to me that we would spend this kind of money on Greenland when we don’t have universal healthcare, mandatory maternity leave, good public schools or any sort of social services.
