The comments are somehow even worse than I expected.

An analogous event would be the Lazarus VolState which is 314 miles across TN. Two divisions - crewed and screwed. Assuming screwed, the universe of successful finishers shrinks pretty quickly. VolState doesn’t attract the “best of the best” so the level of athlete probably not wildly superior, but VolStaters hugely experienced generally which is hugely beneficial in multidays. Can take a look at some data from 2025 and come up with some better assessments -

@OccamsEdge 100%, running is a use it or lose it situation. I remember some study I read almost 20 years ago where it measured the loss of running capacity with an increasing amount of x days off and it's pretty staggering what happens with a bunch of inactivity.

@sprotzbettor This was basically pre-N2 selling Nitro. Forget the guy's name that was streaming insane HQ feeds but basically unrestricted chatbox with super HQ streams. Only shutdown because ppl were leaking the stream links outside of Nitro / freeloading.
