@noampomsky There's a special 3rd category of people who are cocksure that something's AI and erroneously and aggressively call it out because they want to appear as if they're able to tell the difference. These people can be disregarded
@noampomsky I think it's the difference between knowing and not knowing it was AI generated.
A lot of people think AI writing, music, etc. is great without knowing it's AI. But if you're cursed with knowing how the sausage is made, it's ruined for you.
@ViralManager@tzhongg Many means a significant (relatively large) number
You might be thinking of the word "most," which specifically means more than half (which may or may not be "many" depending on the scenario)
@ramit I recently left a $10 housekeeping tip for a 1-night stay. Idk if it's a lot or little, but it's the most I've ever done.
What changed to make this shift was confidence and enjoyment in how I earn my income now. When I used to stress over work, I held onto money like a tightwad.
@noampomsky The stewing stops after like 7 minutes, though. One time is ok. Give them the benefit of the doubt. Multiple times is a pattern and worth bringing up
@JackB_xD@sadgirlyboss@polishmanium Why are you guys trying to put her down? For what?
First time I'm seeing this person on my feed so if there's a really good justification for that I'm curious to know
@redteg95@E0_DS0_Omega@sweatystartup Once you see this, you'll be able to detect slop that doesn't respect your time.
This isn't to say this is AI specific. People have used em-dashes and contrastive emphases like these before. It's become something to be careful about with the rise of AI-generated writing.
@pitdesi I got a pair of plastic sandals in Maui for $5 or 6 back in 2022. I'm strangely proud of how they're still going strong as my go-to pair for when I need to step out for a minute
@ZynStop@realEstateTrent This was excellent emotional buffering
What was your internal reaction?
Did you FEEL distraught inside at all, or did your outside reaction mirror your inside reaction?
@ramit This is so insightful. Appreciate your sharing.
I've been auto-saving for years and hit 75% of my target. After running numbers, I found I can cut contributions and free up SIGNIFICANT $ while keeping most of the psychological benefit of market participation and timeline.
@keter_slater@0x_kaize It's how the product works. It has to read the input in the first place to figure out what's relevant.
They already optimize for context https://t.co/sgAIZ04seY (linked via usage tab)
But it's up to the user if they choose to conserve resources, just like electricity or water.
