@USD482Dighton 2nd Grade visited with city council members and the mayor to learn how the city government keeps our town safe, clean, and productive. #PBL
D-Town ribbon cutting ceremony today. Who wouldn’t want to go to school in D-Town? We’ve got all the amenities. From a Pizzeria to a Bait ‘N’ Tackle Shop… D-Town is the place to be @USD482Dighton
@AmandaBuethe @BethylR Also newer versions have /o/ 3 spellings as 2 separate sounds… /o/ wide open and /aw//au/ traveling back up. I don’t hear a difference. Those three spellings are staying in wide open valley for me.
@AmandaBuethe I’ve seen that new version too. My pathways mouth won’t let me do it. My chin drops to /ae/. I feel like bottom line- being consistent within the school is important but that minor change won’t derail someone’s decoding ability. Maybe I’m wrong???
@USD482Dighton elementary is themed “D-Town” this year. Each room is a different establishment. Welcome to the hawkinSWEETS Candy Company. 🍭🍫🍬💕 #secondgrade
I haven’t done this project since 2019!? 2nd Graders can do such COOL THINGS! Looking back through Twitter made me remember how awesome this project was. Getting this on the docket for 22-23. 😍🐝🌸📸#stopmotionanimation
What an experience. I’ve learned so much from the other @KSDEtchrleaders as well as our participants at all #KSDEsummeracademies Forever grateful for the summer of ‘22
My primary friends from El Doredo working through building texts sets to build background knowledge. This particular group got a great start on their creation of a set to support their 1st grade science standard on sound vibrations!
Day 1 of the KSDE Summer Academy in Manhattan is complete. @jerijopowers_ & I had a great time discussing language and literacy, dyslexia, assessment, and instructional implications. Day 2 will be @haileyhawk & @jmcrenglish as they discuss text sets/vocabulary. @KSDEtchrleaders
